People, cmon..it depends on each situation..your ex might not care or even really remember the break up..they may feel liberated and joyful and so on..it all depends on why they broke up with you..if you and your ex go through all this drama that they text or not you answer or not it is all a game and maybe both are emotional immature. But if they broke up with you as a ultimatum then maybe they are broken just like you and all they wanted was for you or the situation to get fixed but it did not..My point is that it all depends...just do you, learn, grow and go for success and when you least expect it the right person will just show up!

He’s not simply just "checking up on you". He’s probably just making sure you’re still not over him. Don’t ever give him that satisfaction. And even if he was just checking up on you that will not be very helpful for you since you’re trying to forget him. Move on and I know it’s not easy but believe me no contact will help you so much. Try to mute his messages and just ignore him. Remove him from your social media. When I removed my ex he was so butthurt he blocked me and I found that very amusing. Post breakup, it's very easy for us to remember the good times and feel bad about the current circumstances, wishing we could go back to how it was. When my first gf broke up with me , i wrote one letter and spoke to her once, I did not ask her to come back. I just stopped all contact . I treated her well and still she left so my logic was there is no left to do except for me to grieve and get over her. if 30 days do the trick for you, nobody in this relationship ever had any intention to leave to begin with. Proper no contact is as long as it takes for your value to rise all the way to the top of your partners priority list. Which in my experience is 6 months to 1 year, everything else is just you tricking yourself into believing 50% of the way to the top of the priority list is enough for you to settle for.
