My fist time riding it was a year ago. We thought it was something like the gatekeeper or something but then we got on and we got shocked. We did not expect the beyond verticals drop or when you go in that tunnel and it launches you. We loved that one in fact it was our 2nd favorite. Steel Vengeance was number 1 though. But still probably the best steel coaster out there.

My god. Rougarou is a perfectly good ride. Same with GateKeeper. I love both of them. How often do you get to ride a non launched roller coaster with a 170 foot tall inversion. Rougarou isn’t scary, but it’s incredibly fun. I love fun roller coasters.

Took one trip and it’s been my first trip ever. What sucks is that my first time ever at CP was during Covid protocols 💀. So if you don’t know, certain rides required you to acquire a boarding pass card earlier than return at the time on the card. The rides that required this were millennium, dragster (before the accident happened), maverick, and steel vengeance. Luckily got to ride all 4 (shoutout to that dude who gave us cards for steel vengeance since never would’ve ridden it without that happening). In addition got to ride magnum and Gemini. Was there from open to close and non stop yet only got to get on 6 rides 🥲. But what made the last ride so magical was that it was Steve we got and it was a night ride in the back row. I thought front row dragster was gonna be the best but that might ride sealed it. Anyways, just felt like sharing that story as a former magic mountain fanboy. To be fair I did grow up there tho😂.
