I'm one of the weird people who'd prefer to play Legacy Console versions without the Update Aquatic, because the update was a very different style compared to previous ones, so having it but no other major updates (mainly the Villiage and Pillage, Bees, and Nether Updates) is weird to me

As a ps4 player I both grew up with this version, hate bedrock and on top of that think 1.14 is prime minecraft, its just before they made the nether less hell like, I respect everyones opinions tho, its your purchased game, do with it as you please! 😊

Nether is supposed to be hellish, u know? Because it is the hell version of Minecraft. Also, Bedrock is not the worst version of Minecraft. Not at all!!! Bedrock is actually good. Your phone or PC can't handle it probably. It has less bugs. But it is your opinion.

That's why I love the ps4 edition. 1.14 is the last "simple" mc update imo thats why i prefer it over bedrock. The latest updates make minecraft feel like a realistic-esque mod pack

@@SushiMCPEit is actually based on Minecraft PE. I know Pocket Edition is bedrock but the 3ds version came out before Pocket Edition turned to Bedrock Edition.

I know, I just call it Bedrock as it's the more common naming nowadays. Unrelated side note, that's very ironic as my KZbin handle is literally Sushi"MCPE". Although I actually make Legacy content, I set it to MCPE as that's what I grew up with. A tribute to nostalgia.

I miss when Minecraft ran at 60fps on my console. Legacy ran so well compared to bedrock.

Pocket Edition! You are a casual player who plays minecraft when you have friends to play, and is the best time killer! People who play pocket edition are the ones who mostly want the nostalgia but also have the capability to change versions from old to new at ease.

It's not very easy to change Pocket Edition versions unless you know what you're doing. Sometimes you might have to delete the game files when downgrading / upgrading. Also, I still haven't found out how to get 0.10 working (tried on BlueStacks). Pocket Edition, though, is absolutely fun. I grew up with it and have so much nostalgia with it. Even though Legacy is my favorite edition, MCPE has a special place in my heart. :>

Hi! Just want to bring up a version most people forget about, its the 3ds edition, I find it funny when I'm bored, but its a chill version of Minecraft, not to much, and not to little.

Wii U Edition mods are awesome its the only Console Edition I know with custom glide maps available and mods are really easy to install especially on cemu

The PS4 legacy console edition is the childhood goat for people born since 2014 and up

I've owned Legacy for 2 years now, I'm fairly new to it. My childhood was MCPE quite literally, I've only played Legacy like 3 times before 2018 and quite a lot more after over at a friend's. I wanted this game but wasn't able to get it, and as soon as I could, I did! I think Minecraft itself is an absolute childhood goat no matter how you play it!

I had made multiple complicated redstone machines and it only worked on legacy so I had lost weeks of hard work I use Java now exclusively

I started as a PS4er and I loved it, but as the updates keep on coming, Minecraft feels very alien to me. But when I learn the PS3 is forever frozen of the Aquatic Update and you can do Multiplayer for free, it made me love Minecraft again.

I don't know about PSVITA, PS3 and Nintendo Switch (I have watched gameplay but I haven't played them), but for the rest, it's pretty accurate (in my opinion) except for Wii U, since Wii U can be modded way easier from what I've heard! Personally, I'd put it higher on the list. But I respect your opinion! :>

I don’t actually have like a ranking but I consider Xbox 360 and PS3 almost the same but PS3 is slightly better since free online play, which also Wii U and PS Vita have, but PS Vita for performance reasons is on the bottom, I like to say PS4 is the best overall but the online play isn’t free and you might like older versions of the game this is when Xbox One etc win For me the ranking depends on what you like the most from LCE

I still own a PlayStation 3 and minecraft ps3 edition. Luckily as it is an old console it is stuck in the old version unable to be updated, so you can still BLOCK WITH SWORDS as no shields existed at the time. Sometimes I will even hop on my ps3 to hopefully find a working sever to join for the battle, tumble or glide mini games. 90% of the time I wont find a sever but when I do I get so happy its unimaginable.

I love both the Xbox 360 edition and PS4 edition. And damn man, I really want a PS Vita to play it on the go... it's so cool Oh yeah, you forgot the New 3DS edition. I don't blame you, it's pretty forgotten, but it exists. It basically says the same thing as the PS Vita edition

I love Legacy lots!! :> Also, the 3DS edition (despite the fact that both the 3DS and PSVITA being handhelds) is very different - in terms of code, too, as 3DS edition is based on Bedrock. Code-wise, it's not a Legacy Edition. It is a console edition, but I also double-checked with the Minecraft Wiki, and it's not Legacy. I have played it, though, and I've gotta admit it's quite well made and well thought out! Side note: Other Ocean made the 3DS edition, not 4J. Thank you so much for your feedback, though! 360 was my first Minecraft when I was 11 got it may 2012 when it first came out I played it so much that my Xbox red ringed within a week and I was in the top 3000s on the leaderboards. Getting Switch Edition is only possible by modding it nowadays. You can't purchase it. :c

@egotisticalpear3713 You can get a used copy of PS4 Edition physically! That's the only way to get it nowadays. Make sure you never installled Bedrock on your PS4 before - else you're gonna have to use some other way to play Legacy like making a new account (I believe that's the way, I'm not exactly sure. I never had Bedrock before Legacy on my PS4 so I can't tell you with certainty that's the way, you're gonna have to look up "how to get editions button on minecraft ps4" or something along those lines.) If you never had Bedrock on your PS4, though, just insert the disc into the console and you're done!

So it's basically it's own version? It's definitely not connected to modern bedrock but if it's based of it's code then It's not legacy so I guess it's just it's own thing then

@The_Forgettable1 It's more connected to old Bedrock, but yeah. 3DS edition isn't its own version. It definitely has been optimized to work on the 3DS, which is very respectable! But at its core, it is a port.

3DS Edition is based on Bedrock's code. Code-wise, it doesn't classify as a Legacy Edition.

If you want the most updated Legacy Console Edition then the PS4 Edition is for you. If you want the least updated Legacy Console Edition then the Xbox One Edition is for you. If you want a Legacy Console Edition with update aquatic but not village and pillage then Xbox 360 and/or PS3 or Wii U Editions are for you If you want a portable Legacy Console Edition then yeah, ps vita it is. If you want your portable Legacy Console Edition on the Nintendo Switch well then good luck as that edition has not only been discontinued but it was also taken down from the store and no physical copies have been made. And now to the Legacy Console Edition that hasn't been mentioned, the 3DS Edtion. Only play this one if you're extrmely bored or if want to have a bad experience

As someone who's played every Legacy, these are pretty accurate descriptions! (I can't speak for the 3DS Edition though, never played it) I didn't forget about 3DS Edition, but there's a good reason why I didn't include it. It's actually based on Pocket Edition, so code-wise, it's not a Legacy Edition, rather a port of the mobile game.
