I’m trying to get the maws badge right now and I’m very vocal when a flyfish spawns, sometimes leading me prioritizing them instead of dead teammates on accident

I’m almost there! At least for the silver one that is. Less than 100 to go, then it’s onto Flipper-Flopper (about 750) and Scrapper (about 710). Those three are the ones I know how to deal with the best according to how many splats they have. I’m also good at dealing with Steelheads and really improved with dealing with Steel Eels. I’ve really pulled off some insane moves around the Steel Eels without getting splatted. Just today I used Reefslider on high tide to slide through a Steel Eel to take out two Stingers. Then the dreaded ‘one player left’ message popped up and I turned around, only to see I was boxed in with another Steel Eel coming my way, so I used Reefslider again to slide through it and revived my teammates. It was wave 1 too, it got crazy really fast. I’d say my top 3 worst bosses are Stingers, Fly Fish and Big Shot. Stingers and Fly Fish because they can get overwhelming quickly and aren’t always easy to get to. Big Shot because they too can reproduce like rabbits and create so many waves that it’s hard to go anywhere and harder to get to them since they spawn all the way at the shore. Drizzlers, Slammin’ Lids and Fish Sticks are mid, not easy, but not hard for me to deal with either, just a mild nuisance.

Well you got it half right for me. Big Shots are really silly and passive and I vibe with them for some reason. I also go out of my way to destroy bosses, ESPECIALLY the big threats like Flyfish, Stingers, Fish Sticks, Big Shots, etc.

I love the Stinger, it was my 2nd gold badge and it and Maws were like 2000 ahead of anything else. Mostly I enjoy the little tunes you can make as you knock all the pots out from under it, and hated sting ray in Splat 2, but I enjoy stingers sting ray beaming in SR. It's suitably unique for a boss, and I like how 1 of them is fine, but 2 or 3 make the wave exponentially harder, whereas most other bosses the difference between 1 and 3 following you isn't always impactfully different. Also I enjoy taking a nice trip out to the shore, even flyfish and big shots you don't always need to go right out to the edge, but stingers make you go further and test your salmon dodging more.

I'm kind of a mix of all of these. I can make use out of a weapon I'm given as long as it's not one with a charge time. And dealing with Stingers and Flyfish is a pain when you have like 50 other slamonids pestering you. Also to be honest, I did use the Tenta Missles in my "Annoy the crap out of the other team" strategy, but it's not as effective in 3 because it's a hassle to charge it with the weapons it's attached to.

I love salmon run, but I hate every boss in some way. Scrapper appears at the worst times Drizzler spawns in packs of 5 and paints over the whole map Flyfish deserve to burn in the pits of hell alongside .52 gal users Steel-Eels can hit players using booyah-bomb. Stingers guarantee a splat on any player who is occupied with doing anything Fish sticks always end with one left that just can’t seem to die Big shots never stop spawning no matter how fast you defeat them Flipper-Floppers are actually pretty cool. I have no issues with them Maws only attack when your ink tank is empty Steelheads never move close enough to the basket to be worth taking down

My favorites are the Steelhead, Chinook, chum, and the Kings but I like all of them. I like the Steelhead cause even before I got into splatoon I was going Steelhead fishing they put up quite the fight I rember 1 I named jaws it came up on a top lure from underneath going the opposite way of the water flow like the famous shark and gave quite the run jumping in mid air 7 times also that was the 1st Steelhead I ever cooked and he was delicious then when I got into splatoon when 3 came out over hearing you can shoot salmons I was excited and when I seen the Steelhead in the game I was hyped cause even in nature Steelhead run with the king salmon up in new york more on that in a bit but anyways I loved the dezine for it and overall is a awesome boss challenging yet fun to kill, then Chinook I find them adorable bringing coolers for enemy's to spawn out of plus a fish with a flying hat is funny, then chum that little guy is so funny and partly why I hate crab tank see if you get 2 and ya go into ball form they will litterly play ping pong with you untill you die plus with the random frying pan smacking is so hilarious to me, now the big boys the kings well to start rember how I actually fish well a year before I got into splatoon I actually went king salmon fishing up in New York it was awesome battling for a spot then the lines just for a monster of a fight it's epic and to get a brown trout the second day then a king the 3rd it was a awesome trip and how I did it was my dad caught a brown and king first then veary next cast I caught a brown and king but bigger lol it was a awesome time then when I got into splatoon I got more into salmon fishing than I even was and I caught another king then when chohozuna and horrobos came out and a 3rd runored king on the way I went up again and went crazy catching them a king a day 3 days in a row 1 for each king in game lol then I went Steelhead fishing and caught some more Steelhead that was a epic trip but as for each king well chohozuna is bacicly godzilla mixed with a salmon wich when I first saw it I went their us a godzilla fish in this game??? And for horrobos it took a while to beat it I had to learn how to fight it and with multiple toys I finally did it during a big run, and finally for meg well I love Prehistoric cretures and it sounded like meglodon the giant shark but as a salmon also it was my first big run that I got gold for the gold egg and gold badge a true staple of how good I was getting. But ya that's why thoes are my favorites I like all of them like the lids I love to play super mario on multiple of them jumping back and forth and maw in the quickest bomb in the run to get them it's like a wild west thing with them but ya each I love in their owne way and that's why I play salmon run more than the main turf war mode lol I even bought the green grizzco hat to ware fishing and working it's been one of my favorite games or game modes ever since I heard about you can shoot a salmon in a game lol!

You’re right, it’s a bit of a question if they meant if you like them design wise or the one you like the most because they are the easiest for you to deal with. Because design wise I like the Steelhead, Steel Eel, and Stingers the most. Easiest to deal with for me are Maws, Flipper-Flopper, and Scrapper (in that order, based on the most amount of splats I got). I always got those 3 badges in my title card, so people know I’ll deal with those bosses quickly for them and that I prefer going after them first. Though the Scrapper is swappable with Steelhead, as Steelhead only has a few less splats in total than Scrapper.
