The adjustment of the seat of Corolla is the best in class, fine adjustments can be done with up and down instead but one pull up or down flexibility is at most for many drivers that drives a lot and do get breaks, naps in the car. @tuboludo Yeah, 4th gen hybrid in Corolla is definitely the best reliability statistically and historically. Most 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen hybrid pass 200k miles without any glitch if maintained properly (fluid and filter change). Meanwhile, VW and Ford are plaque with clogged intake valves, fail injectors and fuel pumps, and offcourse DCT transmission from Getrag. But if you keep less than 5 years /100k miles, you did not see much problems in any of them. That is the reason why VW and Ford failed completely in North America market where people drives much more than European.

I think we all know that they will always put the VW golf in first place, why?, i dont know. I cant see how the vw golf is better than the corolla. I accept that the VW Golf is good in particular areas like the quality of the interior, the driving experience and the fact that it has the best space in the boot and the rear seats. The corolla may not have as much room in the back seats and the boot may not be as big as in the golf, it is not too far behind, and it will be enough for most peoples needs. The interior quality in the corolla has improved, not to the golfs level but it is certainly more well built than the Focus. The amount of standard equipment you get in the corolla is excellent, you have to pay extra for it in the focus and golf. Yes, maybe, the corolla isnt as fun to drive as the focus but not everybody wants that driving experience, they may want a calm and relaxing driving experiece which the corolla certainly delivers. In my opinion, i think the corolla is the best car in this group as it has all the good points of the two other cars but there is one big differnece, toyotas reliability reputation is much better than vws and ford reliabilty reputation.

@@kristians2704 You are absolutely right. This is a review of new cars, not used 10 years old cars. Definitely, if 2-3 years without issue, most cars are pretty damn good. But most people keep their cars 5-6 years. Some are just too problematic like many TFSI engine in GTI that leak waterpump every 50k Km or 3 years, just after warranty expired. Or DSG or Powershift problems every 60k miles or less if drive in city alot. Those are the ones that car reviewers should mention. In North America, most cars have at least 6 years warranty for the powertrain (engine+transmission). Those are pretty hard benchmarks for cars like FIAT, GM, some VW and Ford with dual-clutch transmission, Mini/BMW, and Crysler.

I don't think the review is fair to the corolla. It is probably the best of the bunch. Why is no one talking about reliability? Vw is not trouble free and the same goes for the Ford. Plus the interior is perfect, just owning one you will realise how easy it is to live with, you can use everything without looking at the temperature controls for example. The VW golf isn’t the most reliable out of the cars here

I have been using Auris Hybrid for a week (when my old Ford Focus MK2 petrol 100KM has an electrical issue). My opinion: - Auris with all the batteries was too heavy and had a lot of issue with absorbing major roughness, - the traction wasn't on the level of the Ford Focus MK2, but wasn't bad either, - the power and dynamic was OK, but the sound and the way the rotations of the engine has being adjusted was so annoying that hard to accept. So if Corolla, than it has to be a traditional petrol, or maybe a fully electrical car in the future.

I have got a focus 2 and i drive sometimes a corolla 2016 and I feel focus a lot better to drive and is not that unconfartable compared to corolla

They chose 3 different spec levels and then compared specs, they talk about the fords driving dynamics like it's a rally car yet in truth most driver would struggle to tell much difference between the 3 cars here, the Ford makes no sense, very average, the Toyota makes good sense, just needs refining, the gold makes great sense, pick the right spec and its unbeatable
@forza223bowe55 жыл бұрын
The previous focus is better. The new one, could be any car, it’s lost its focus looks

Obvious the golf was going to win bit like comparing a BMW to a Dacia I've had 2 Ford's the interiors are appalling i know they go round corners well but that's not enough to buy one .
@MG-ce3dx5 жыл бұрын
True mate , they are nice to drive in corners but that's about it..the interior quality in the Ford and the quality of the car overall is not that good and it just doesn't have that solidity feel as the Golf .. I love the new Corolla exterior, but on the interior, it just feels typically Toyota style, everything feels bland and cheap, and the infotainment system it really is a joke 😂
@forza223bowe55 жыл бұрын
British Car Auctions Fords have class leading driving dynamics, however, the interiors are awful on the focus

@xIcarus2275 жыл бұрын
@@MG-ce3dx that 'solidity feel' is just that: a feel. Reliability on the VW is pretty garbage nowadays, and coupled with the relatively high maintenance/repair cost that doesn't bode well for long term ownership. Beside, the interior of the new Focus is decent. Not Mazda 3 levels, but decent and definitely comparable to the Golf.

S I own a golf, and it’s not as well built as it looks. There is a rattle which I can’t understand where it’s coming from. The petrol cap failed to open.
