RM is THE lyricist of our century. Every word he writes is with intention. He manages to find words that not only define a message but also leaves the song open to your own interpretation....sometimes between two languages without losing any effect. He is a musical poet. No one writes like him. No one. When mono came out it was so unexpected but quickly became my favorite. Every song was placed in perfect order. I will never forget the first time I listened to it...from the first song to the last one all at once. I was balling a the end. It felt like an intimate moment inside the mind of a genius. I just wanted to give him a hug. RM said he intended us to listen to it all from start to finish and I instantly understood why. Pure genius.

This was a two tissue video. My mom passed away just over a year ago, and as you can imagine, it hasn't been easy coming to terms with that. This song really spoke to me and comforted me. When RM released Mono I had just started going to therapy. The songs were too raw and too emotional for me, I would break down every time. About a year later after I worked on myself and worked through some difficulties I braved it to try and listen to the album again. I was ready to receive what RM so beautifully put to music. I was ready for the message and found continued healing. I don’t think people realize how vulnerable Namjoon had to be to write these lyrics. I am always so grateful to him for this everlasting gift.

The thing I love most about BTS especially namjoon and yoogi's lyrics is that they put forth their message about life in a raw and real form. Everythinggoes will remain one of the simplest, yet most intricate songs i've ever heard in my life. One of those that you hear, and you wonder for hours about how to handle yourself or your emotions. Its a masterpiece to me, mono in general is, but this one in particular gets to me. The way the word everything goes is repeated in a loop as in to convince you and the singer himself over and over that in life it all does pass, said as a mantra to get it stuck in your head, for then to break down into intense beautiful metaphors, inner thoughts of the artist, of people really. It paints a very comprehensible painting of namjoons psyche to me. Hell, of my own. He is one genius of a man.
