The only thing I dislike about it is it separates John and Damien. But the potential flashback stories, possible brainwashed villain arcs, undercover Apocalypse agent and what not just opened up a ton of stories. Superman having to beat his son to near death or better, John putting Superman down and Conor having to step up to stop him.

On the whole "Time in space" thing. Time works the same on Earth as it does everywhere else in the Universe. I've not read the comic, but I suspect there is a "we were travelling at the speed of light so things got weird with time" thing at play. Even so, that's backwards. Time would be SLOWER for those moving near the speed of light, and they would have experienced a shorter time passing than those on Earth.

He is! And he didn't even really need his recent redemption arc. His fall was tragic and made perfect sense. He's every comic book fan who ever wished to be Superman.. if it all then immediately went terribly wrong. The single most disturbing thing I've ever seen in a mainstream DC comic was his horror when his fight with Conner went off the rails. "You're ruining me!"
