I loved that little surprise when you played on your birthday, I literally didn't expect that. Of course the ending was mind blowing, but what about that one mission at your base when you had to kill your men who had been infected and they were saluting you and the peace walker theme was playing in the background? Besides red dead redemption 2,metal gear solid games are the only one who made me cry that much. @@LEXICON-DEVIL He's literally the fucking director of the game. Why do you think you know better than the dude who literally fucking made it. I understand Mission 51 was cut, it's possible this was intentional. You have to live with that. It's literally called "The Phantom Pain" and it intentionally parodies Moby Dick which infamously was released without an epilogue. Whether you like the game or not does not determine if it was finished. Death Stranding was perfect in my opinion, by the way, so take my bias with a grain of salt if you must. And the absolute nerve someone must have to insinuate MGSV wasn't finished when Death Stranding was made in half the time with *way* harder content to develop is just silly to me. The same dude who turned around Death Stranding in less than 3 years from scratch, apparently couldn't make the game he wanted to make in 10. I simply do not understand the logic there.

@@cezerelecrucio9717 Jesus dude relax. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the Fox blade this morning. God forbid anybody criticize any artist. Kojima is great but he eats, sleeps and shits just like anybody else. You can't make an $80 Million dollar game, replace David Hayters long dialogue scenes with 22min of Sutherland, cut the liquid snake ending plus young liquid playable section and expect not to get criticism. MGSV is not complete and that's not up for debate. Kojima can't single handedly make a game it requires a team of people. One man's ego doesn't speak for a room full of workers. Kojima doesn't respond well to criticism. Death Stranding is proof of that. I never said the game sucked but for Kojima to say that nobody understands the game so there fore the gameplay is good is just ridiculous. As a musician and artist myself. I know how hard it is to realize a vision and how hard it can be to take criticism. Look at the prequel trilogy. Lucas was surrounded by yes men so there was tons of issues. Everyone thought that just because he created Star Wars that he's perfect in everything. If Lucas had Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau during the prequels they'd be perfect. Lucas was surrounded by yes men like Kojima. Kojima needs other artists to work with to help say no or give a different perspective. It's not perfect working with Del Toro and Junji Ito because they have there own expertise but it's a start. Death Stranding is not a shitty game but to say that it's perfect means your heads in the clouds.

You have metal gear. Metal gear 2 snakes revenge, metal gear solid, metal gear solid 2, and finally metal gear solid 3 snake eater, where the stealth finally became complex. So if it took arkham 3 games to destroy the gargoyles, it took metal gear 5 games to get stealth past the "stare at Rader and watch cones" gameplay. Plus the enemies react differently to the boxes? Lmao bruh, they either kicked over the boxes, or walked by you. As a long-time MGS fan, I was left disappointed with MGSV upon launch in 2015. I've very recently played it again, and whilst I forgive much about the title, there's still plenty that leaves me wanting. Mechanically, it's outstanding. It was and is a blast to play. However, the loss of memorable boss fights, the limited Codec, uninspiring villains, no Mr Hayter, the mostly bland open world environments and the unfulfilled tease of being the 'lost chapter of the MGS saga', left me longing for what MGS had been. Most significantly, I just didn't empathise or care for the characters and their exploits, as I had done in all previous MGS game. MGSV is a great game. I just feel it's not a good MGS title. Maybe that was Hideo's intention, to move away from what we (the fans) were familiar with. Our Phantom Pain for what was lost.

The mgs series is complete, the only thing this game was missing was optional co op with friendly fire on for role play pvp, *raidens suit should have been cyborg ninja with some powers and a sword* and the last unlockable should have been *playing as quiet with her incredible locomotion and powers* Other than wanting those things, this game is a legendary work of art. It felt so good riding in that plane, setting up weapons, seeing quiet do different things based on companionship, then dropping down playing some music and doing recon then stealth non lethal taking out enemies to reach a goal with the option of killing that made you grow a Horn and stay covered in blood. Literally one of the greatest games ever made and it has that special mgs feel to it.

There is to this date June 2021, NO METAL GEAR SOLID 5. IT DOES NOT EXIST. The V DOES NOT STAND FOR 5. It stands for VENOM as in VENOM SNAKE, the character that YOU PLAY AS. Hence why they kept repeating V HAS COME TO.

Big medic. It's not boss or snake, that's why he's voiced by someone else..
@alastorcorvus3 жыл бұрын
Except that the original Big Boss is also voiced by Sutherland in this game.
@tinfoilhat16193 жыл бұрын
@@alastorcorvus that's where they messed up. To keep it consistent they would have had to pay both David and Sutherland. MGSV you are not a clone or anything; your the medic from the crash lol
@alastorcorvus3 жыл бұрын
@@tinfoilhat1619 not really, Kojima wanted a different approach to the character, not solely to foreshadow that he's a different snake. The thing is, people's voice change as they get older, and Big Boss is around 50 yo in this game, and he was voiced by another older actor in MGS4. And you know, the real foreshadowing was that the Medic in Ground Zeroes was voice by Sutherland too. So it can be both.

I'm still playing it like a damn fiddle, so much diversity of gameplay, so much strategies, so many ways to take out an outpost, i love this game so much

Its true i was a bit disappointed with them not hiring David Hayter again. (its not just him, almost the whole cast is gone, i think they only kept the guy that did the voice for Huey/Otacon and thats it) But i think Sutherland did a great job regardless. I ended up not even thinking about it after a while.

I do need to go back and finish it. BTW, I actually liked the fact it was more focused on the gameplay and less so on cutscene exposition. I don't like having to wait for 30 minutes through a cutscene so I can PLAY THE GAME. Cut scenes for appropriate story progression and character development are one thing. But the massive Death Stranding ending was AWFUL.

I always thought it had the coolest and most intuitive movement system in a stealth game. When back here after playing Helldivers 2 because the game character movement is very similar to MGS5.

A few things: I don't think fans missed lengthy cutscenes, they missed closure and explanation The game cost what it cost because a new game engine was made from scratch.
