My beloved team from WCH: please include the list in the description. It is hidden when the video starts to play so there's no spoilers and it would save me (and maybe some other people out there) the hassle of stopping the video or replay it to make sure I annotated the names for my backlog since really, I do a lot. I love you all. Thanks for reading. - W.

@@JHjh88 I personally really didn't enjoy the Platform. I wouldn't recommend to others and really don't understand why people liked it, but it's their preference, I guess. It has a lot of content that can be very triggering and is very gruesome. I would recommend researching it beforehand if you want to watch it or, if you want to avoid spoilers, I can provide you a list of some of the more troublesome subjects it brings up.

Top tips for KZbin commenting part 1. If you spot a mistake in a video check the comments to see if someone has already pointed it out. If it has indeed been corrected a dozen times then don't bother to add your own. You may think you look clever but you don't.

1) I'm not sure "Promising Young Woman" counts as a horror film. 2) If "Annihilation" were an actual adaptation of the novel by Jeff VanderMeer, I might cut it some slack. I found the film to be very overrated and I was disappointed after having seen "Ex Machina."

Judging from the comments I've seen on other threads, there's one small spoiler that might make the difference whether certain horror fans like the film or not. If you don't want to read ANY spoilers, just ignore the rest. S P O I L E R S Although many reviewers have described this as a werewolf story, the killer turns out NOT to be a werewolf, but just an insane local person who puts on a fur suit and kills a woman every month. It's still a good police procedural with a VERY flawed protagonist, but there are horror fans who will be pissed not to see a genuine supernatural werewolf. They should see "Silver Bullet", which has a similar concept except there really IS a werewolf, or the British horror film "Howl." Many reviewers noted that that film was actually better than the OTHER "Howl" starring James Franco as beatnik poet Allen Ginsburg.

LOVED She Dies Tomorrow (existential horror art), Relic (moving, disturbing, oddly beautiful) and His House. REALLY LIKED Swallow (amazing cinematography) and La Llorona. LIKED The Wolf of Snow Hollow and The Mortuary Collection, HATED The Vast of Night (so annoying, overrated.) CHECK OUT: Terrified (fun AND scary)

People in America: Why are you surprised that an English bloke, in England, doesn't know how to pronounce words in Central/South American Spanish? We don't learn it here at school, most of the world doesn't.

Could you consider putting the name of the movie at the top of the screen throughout the video so I don't have to rewind every time to remind myself of the name. Other YT shows do this.

While some movies were weakened by needless cutting, The Vast of Night runtime was fluffed with pointless filler that should have been left on the cutting room floor. It's still a good movie, but would be far more tight and tense as an episode in an anthology like Twilight Zone. Sometimes less is truly more!

All the people going on about the pronunciation on "La Llorona" seem to be get way too annoyed by it. Surely you can just appreciate, as a non Spanish speaker, it's not obvious that a "LL" turns into a "Y" phonetically. Therefore many English speakers automatically pronounce it as a "L".

And it's "Chl" in Welsh e.g. Llanelli being "CHLA-neh-chli."

Not really, when it's said correctly in both movies & is a title. It's just basic respect to make a basic attempt. It's not like anyone is requesting a flawless accent, it's a Y-sound. If you can say "yesterday", you can say Llorona. Instead, I kept expecting him to break into a My Sharona joke. It's the equivalent of calling you "Keet" instead of Kate. Trust me, you'd feel pretty disrespected pretty quick, especially if you said your name to him multiple times.

It's not hard to look up how to pronounce a word properly and Josh doesn't work in a vacuum. He has a team that could have helped him with it.

Nearly 11 minute long, well researched video..all the commenters: LLORONA!!!! 🤯🤯 lol. I took 4 years of Spanish and this brief (and common) mispronouncing didn’t bother me. Get over it people. Stop going into attack mode over the silliest and most trivial things. The man did a great job. Good job, Josh!

At this point EVERYONE knows it's not pronounced "la lorona", so either they did it on purpose to piss people off and get more comments or they just don't give a crap and couldn't even make the slightest effort to be respectful to practically half of their audience
