Judging from the comments I've seen on other threads, there's one small spoiler that might make the difference whether certain horror fans like the film or not. If you don't want to read ANY spoilers, just ignore the rest. S P O I L E R S Although many reviewers have described this as a werewolf story, the killer turns out NOT to be a werewolf, but just an insane local person who puts on a fur suit and kills a woman every month. It's still a good police procedural with a VERY flawed protagonist, but there are horror fans who will be pissed not to see a genuine supernatural werewolf. They should see "Silver Bullet", which has a similar concept except there really IS a werewolf, or the British horror film "Howl." Many reviewers noted that that film was actually better than the OTHER "Howl" starring James Franco as beatnik poet Allen Ginsburg.

All the people going on about the pronunciation on "La Llorona" seem to be get way too annoyed by it. Surely you can just appreciate, as a non Spanish speaker, it's not obvious that a "LL" turns into a "Y" phonetically. Therefore many English speakers automatically pronounce it as a "L".

And it's "Chl" in Welsh e.g. Llanelli being "CHLA-neh-chli."

Not really, when it's said correctly in both movies & is a title. It's just basic respect to make a basic attempt. It's not like anyone is requesting a flawless accent, it's a Y-sound. If you can say "yesterday", you can say Llorona. Instead, I kept expecting him to break into a My Sharona joke. It's the equivalent of calling you "Keet" instead of Kate. Trust me, you'd feel pretty disrespected pretty quick, especially if you said your name to him multiple times.

I finished it and the only positive thing I can say about it was it had a good concept and pretty visuals. Other than that it's slow, boring trash.

I wish I could find out where to watch Saint Maud (in Europe). It just doesn't seem to be available anywhere. I even checked the iTunes US store but even that doesn't have the film.

How can you say it so wrong, so many times and not be doing it on purpose. God, it hurt my soul hearing him say it. Ga damn 😪

Yes, it's on purpose...so we can identify people like you who can't leave the smallest thing go and HAVE to comment about it. Yeah...You're THAT guy...
