Michaels swinging that chair and hitting Taker led directly to the formation of DX, the first Hell in a Cell match where Kane debuted, and the Montreal Screwjob. All in the following three months. Solid work.

hahaha, the dead crowd thing is funny because it's exactly how I felt at this year's WrestleMania. Spent Saturday night boozing it up at Beyond and CZW and then was hung over in the hot, humid Florida sun all day Sunday. If the Hardy's didn't come back I probably would have been asleep around then.

Was at the show and yeah the tailgate was awesome. The WWF also had a big fan section up outside that had the old Undertaker giant inflatable along with games and merch tent. Was in the first row of the upper level. Even from there you could see Austin's head sticking out from Owen's legs as he did the tombstone. Knew it was a huge botch right away.

That blue cage always looked legitimately unpleasant to work in. I mean getting smashed with a chain link door isn't a picnic but that blue cage looks very heavy to take a bump with. At least the walls of the chain cages give a little when you bump against them (even if sliding down the walls probably tears up your skin).

I was at the show. And while I didn't partake yes I do recall quite a bit of tailgaiting. Much more than I expected for a wrestling show. There was a contingent of Los Baricuas fans in my section and I got a kick out of them celebrating when they won as seemingly no one else in the building carried. And Austin hurting his neck was just plain bizarre because it was obvious something wasn't quite right but hard to tell from a distance what it was.

The thing that stood out after Stone Cold and the Owen Hart pile driver was that Austin and Owen was never put in a storyline again with Owen Hart after all that happened

Not true, Austin would interfere in all of Owen's Intercontinental title matches against other WWF Superstars, ensuring that Owen wouldn't lose the title to any of them, and then Austin defeated Owen for the Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series 1997.

$202,500 on a 20,000 crowd is nothing. I used to be in charge of merchandise for concert/family shows at a major arena and we would do that on house shows. I want to say that our best night was a Raw where we did $13 per cap. Unless the $202,500 was the number that the WWF did, after the building took their 25% - 30%. Then I completely retract my statement. As that would be around $290,000 on a 20,000 crowd which would be about a $14.50 per cap. Which is good.

Also with fact number 10. The reason why those taxes were in place is because New Jersey (IN 1997) classed professional wrestling as a legitimate sport (IN 1997) by where there is a real element of competition. Vince basically had to break kayfabe (IN 1997) and admit that it was staged showmanship with pre-determined results. . . like nobody knew that . . . . . IN 1997!!
