I was young when the Bossman hanging happened. My belief of wrestling being real was like my belief of Santa at that point, I wanted it to be real. So when I saw Bossman hung, I thought he was DEAD.....I literally freaked out the next day at school. And I believe that night on Monday he was on RAW. (believe that incident happened at a pay per view? IDK) Point of the story. That event is what completely convinced me that wrestling was totally fake.

That's WHY the Attitude Era was great. You never knew if a segment was going to be awesome or absolutely horrifying. Any given segment could have been anywhere on the fucking map. You could get something legendary like Austin 3:16, you could get Katie Vick. It was unpredictable, it was chaotic, it made every episode feel like you had to tune in because something would happen that you didn't want to miss in EITHER direction.

I HATED the drunk Hawk storyline. He was and is my all time favorite wrestler. I saw Droz at a house show during this stupidity and asked him if he could tell Hawk that this storyline is stupid and he should drop it. Droz said in Kayfabe that Hawk was having a rough time but everyone was there for him and supporting him through it. I was frustrated because I knew it was a story. I just didn't know it was a group of writers doing it and the LOD didn't want to do it. Such a horrible story. Ug.
