This was the first ever WWE I ever watched. I was a young kid, my friend let me borrow the VHS. I didn't know Foley came back later as I didn't follow WWE. But this got me hooked on wrestling. I then went onto get Smackdown 2 for the PS1 and fell in love with wrestling even more. Then I grew up and became a wrestler myself. So No Way Out 2000 will always hold a special place for me.

I do not watch a lot of the current product, but I am addicted to these Retro Ups and Downs. Simon's energy and Enthusiasm during these are so good. Is this stuff scripted? or is he riffing off the cuff? He makes such funny aside comments about some of this stuff, or when he's excited about something, and he suddenly exclaims, "it gets an up" makes me laugh every time. I try to make youtube videos from time to time, and I hope one day I can get to that level of comfortable in front of the camera. Even if you don't watch wrestling he's a great personality. Also, I would love to see him to a critique video on one of this matches. Just to hear what goes on inside the mind of a performer.

Regardless of the obvious fact that when professional wrestlers "retire", its more than likely the case that they'll end up returning to the ring again at some point in the future. That being said however, it still is always sad seeing someone like Mick Foley say his goodbyes to the fans and the crowd after his final show in the ring and after his last match, just because even though you know that you'll most likely be seeing him again you still can't help but feel like that's the end and you're losing one of your favorite wrestlers and one of the greatest wrestling performers of all time, ya know? Luckily though, it seems like WWE does a pretty good job at making sure they're able to bring back those wrestlers who have chosen to "retire", and incorporating them into whatever storyline would best fit them at that time which is great because it satisfies the fans overall and gives that wrestler an opportunity to get back into the ring even just for one night. So kudos to them for taking care of their older wrestlers who have moved on from the sport more or less by still giving them the chance to come back to the ring for a night and surprise the fans while also allowing them to experience that nostalgic feeling of being in the ring and being a part of the show that night etc. I've always actually admired WWE as a company for how they handle situations like that and how they seem to always make sure that if one of their past retired wrestlers wants to make even just one small appearance some night and participate in the show that night that they can usually always make sure they find a spot for them in order to do that. Good on them for looking out for their past talents and performers by always still giving them the chance to be involved still with the company for even just one show or so. I really like that about them and I think it's really quite admirable for them to do that sort of thing because they definitely don't have to in the first place, but it just goes to show the character and the values that they have as a whole and within the company, ya know? You truly don't see or hear to much of that type of stuff happening anymore these days no matter what industry or business you're talking about and regardless of who's involved etc. It'll be interesting to see where the company goes from here moving forward because of Vince McMahon stepping down as the CEO. I just really do hope that they're able to maintain the majority of their morals and values overall within the company in general and that they don't end up losing their way of doing things now that he's gone and all that. I guess we'll have to wait and see but still, I really truly do hope that whoever takes over permanently once they find the right person for the job that they at least try to do there best to keep the foundation that Vince established and continue to run and operate the company in that manner, because it'd honestly be quite sad to watch and see the company start to change and possibly fail and crumble in on itself because some new CEO decided he wanted to shake things up a bit by completely changing how they do everything over there and therefore totally destroying the fan base by alienating everyone from the fans all the way through to the general employees and even the actual wrestlers themselves.
