I hope that most Democrats realize that this QAnon bull is only an extremely small fringe of the 75 million Republicans who voted for "Orange man bad". I was at this event. We had horrible nose bleed seats that were way overpriced. We could barely see anything and the lack of a big screen at the arena made it a challenge to follow the action. Ladder match was epic.

As Brian initially mentioned, the set for this WM was pretty awful so I can imagine how disappointed it must’ve been for you to watch live with no screen to see the action.

The pond in 2000 was a relatively new arena but lacking screens. They just had that one small scoreboard in the center. The nose bleeds there are brutal. Real steep. Staples Center is a much better venue for WWE

Backlash 2000’s main event is what WrestleMania 2000 should have been but Austin wasn’t quite ready yet. When Austin shows up at Backlash he actually uses the edge of the chair to help himself stand back up. This has one of the most disappointing WrestleMania main events I've seen. The Rock should have won the WWF championship, looking back and knowing that Rock never won his world title matches at Mania kinda sucks.

I mean, for him with hindsight it didn't sit well with Mick either. If he had to be here at all - and he shouldn't, it should have been Jericho - he should have won it to finally close off his story. One final gasp. Otherwise this makes no sense at all.

@@mikebadaoa8525 Yeah but not one month after retiring! And out of those guys, Bret didn't willingly retire. Nor did Rude. Their 'last matches' weren't planned as such. Besides, Foley was quite outspoken and critical of other legends like Flair, that he wanted NWO 2000 to be his last last match. So coming back so quickly, with no fan demand, not even as a retro appeal, made him look quite hypocritical in many ways. He said it himself, that's why he felt so bad about it. Because Mick is great! It's a bit off topic, but he also came fully out of retirement. Twice. The other guys you mentioned all stayed retired with an odd match of two here and there. Nobody wanted to see Foley in TNA as Champ.

Vince and Shane fighting in the main event seemed like it went on forever. Plus they drove me crazy that after doing significant damage to each other, the McMahons ended up aligning like it was nothing.

I always felt that this PPV suffered in part due to not having 2 key Attitude Era figures available for it as both Taker and Austin were out with injuries.

Yeah, that was what everyone thought back then. Taker and Austin were missed a lot in late 99/early 2000, it wasn't until Backlash and Judgment Day that we got to see them.

The Attitude Era in general just didn't have that many good Manias outside of 17. Sure, there are isolated cool moments like Austin winning the title at WM 14 or the first Austin vs. Rock match at WM 15, but none of the cards as a whole were ever really good.

This was the very first WrestleMania I was able to watch, my mom ordered it and me, a couple of cousins, and my sister watched it and of course recorded it on VHS. Funny thing is, I barely remember a lot of the card cause I fell asleep during the show, I remember everything up to the Angle/Benoit/Jericho match then nothing until the main event.

When Paul left the Company as a Manger, he been the manger of the undertaker and Kane for 9 Years in WWF. Kane lost to Boss man and Buchanan thanks to Test and Albert at Backlash. X-Pac and Road Dogg they say "Bye, little fat Ass!"😥😥

Bearer had lost weight previously w/o the gastric bypass. It was in an article in a WWF magazine back in the day. The gastric bypass occured a few years later.

I was 11 when 'WWF WrestleMania 16' took place & I couldn't wait for the 15-minute WWF Hardcore title match to happen--just because I wanted to see who ultimately ends up winning the WWF Hardcore title, how many submissions & pin-falls take place, how many weapons we see being used & to sum everything up into one main reason, here it is: Absolute chaos!... I loved seeing Hardcore matches in WCW & the WWE/WWF when I was a kid & still find myself looking up Hardcore matches on KZbin, or, playing them in the WWF/WWE & WCW video games, to this day.

I remember The Rock just getting beaten up for weeks by the McMahon-Hemsley faction and only felt the tide turn in his favor when Vince came back but when he screws The Rock in end AFTER all that, it was a bit deflating. Even though they finally gave The Rock the belt at Backlash I always thought "They could've just done it at mania".
