Always HATED playing against him especially in the playoffs because every HONEST B’s fan can acknowledge that he was MORE THAN CAPABLE of shutting ANYONE DOWN ON ANY PARTICULAR DAY!! He could take over and will his teams to victory. I’m just sorry he never won a Cup because he deserved it without question. Great video! The only thing is you overlooked the very last game he played; the 10-2 win against the Panthers, which had a lot of very touching moments because everyone in the stadium had a feeling that it was Carey's last game, right down to saluting his family in the stands, and the crowd cheering him on, while the clock counted the final seconds of the last period of his last NHL game. It legitimately brought tears to my eyes because I knew that was it. And it was one hell of a game to finish on, even if a majority of the Panthers were sidelined to protect them for the playoffs.

Carey Price was a beast! Around 2009 to 2011 is when I got into hockey. Remember seeing him going against my Flyers in that playoff series! Price should be a HOF, even without getting a ring since it wasn’t all his fault, when you can’t build around him correctly!
@Fouetzky8 ай бұрын
Crazy to say some people still say Price choked in big games, while his numbers in Hamilton during the Calder Cup, at the WJC and at the WC/Olympics were simply insane AND that his already stellar individual regular season stats (shutouts ratio, Sv% and GAA) were even better in the NHL playoffs, even though the Habs never had a true Cup worthy team. Whenever they made any sort of playoff run, he pretty much was the lone reason they did (except for 2010 where Halak did what Price would then do multiple times after him). I feel like if he got drafted by probably 25 of the other 29 other teams (bar the Sabres, Coyotes, Jackets, etc which were even worse messes than the Habs) he'd have his name engraved on the Cup a couple times today. Him, Luongo and Hank will be remembered as the greatest goalies not to win a cup, and Hank might have been more consistent throughout his full career (he also got a much better team in front of him most of the time and remained relatively healthy overall) but Price was the most influential for the game of hockey. Technique-wise he probably was the best goalie to ever play the game.

All of that being said, I blame Canadiens management for not building a proper team around the greatest goalie ever to play for the Canadiens. Yes, Roy, Dryden, and Plante won many cups, but look at the teams they had around them. Price was given very little year after year and still, he stood on his head. Pretty simple what happened to him. Got paid too much and stopped caring. After having perhaps the best single season of any goalie in modern history in 2015, he lost his focus. For several seasons his numbers were among the *worst* of any starting goalie in the NHL, but he got his huge payday, so no reason to keep working. Had a brief bounce-back in the 2021 playoffs (after Jake Allen outplayed him all season and was actually the guy who got them into the playoffs!), and then completely bailed on his teammates. @@oldsrocket8841 alcohol and cocaine suck and yes I have no proof but only go by what media and what price says. He had an amazing run. Do you think he will retire or let his contract expire? Most likely they will have to buy him out

He has no record except for futility and no cups.

What really got me angry was his lying to the team the last 5 years and not going into rehab then. He cheated his team, his team mates and the fans because he needed his drug fix. He conned everyone

Cocaine DOES NOT IMPROVE your performance 😂 have u ever used coke? 😂

@@bb8942 Yes, you're right but only short term helps. That's why it has caught up to him. It is a highly addictive drug that has negative consequences. Short term use was amazing until it isn't. Too much of the good stuff will become bad.

well we all know what happen to Price and his career in the NHL , it's called addiction, alcoholism is not a friend to many Natives , so in reality he is responsible for his own actions , and his demise in the NHL , so don't feel sorry for what he destroyed himself

And he lied to his team and team mates about it. I am sure he was buying the narcotics the last 5 years where he actually took the ice. To me I have no respect for him

You also forgot to mention that he had xxx with a 17 year old girl and got her pregnant… This is a real known thing btw. Whole thing was put under wraps as she settled.
