Love your reviews, You are as eloquent as always! agree not to spec torpedoes fully, considered that your speed and conseal are extremely important. I dont want to send torpedoes blindly from the start, it makes red more attentive and possibly stops pushing, instead out on the flank, light red if possible, and torpedo from the side, so much more effective. Derka ~ loved the review, but just wanted to point out that she does Not get anything close to a 32mm Bow / stern on PC-Wows 😅. She has exactly what she has in Legends. Quoting from the Wows wiki entry on Jinan: “Like Austin, Jinan is the exact opposite of durable. Along with Austin, she has the smallest health pool of any Tier X cruiser, and one of the lowest out of all Tier VIII to X cruisers. Jinan inherits Austin’s armor, including a 32mm main belt that can provide some protection against battleship AP and smaller caliber cruiser shells. However, she also shares Austin’s relative lack of armor elsewhere, with 16mm BOW, STERN and Deck plating, and an extremely vulnerable citadel that extends well above the waterline.” == Only Legends Devs have done the (imho) ludicrous steps of armoring several Cruisers like full Battleships - with 30-32mm Bows & Sterns !! (Bortas, Edinburgh, Alaska, Colbert, Stalingrad, Worcester 😝)

@ No, no - totally understandable, good Derka 😏 - you never know, with The Legends Devs and their high-Tier Cruiser armoring decisions. I remember there was Real Terror on the forum, that they might give Legends Minotaur 32mm nose too, like they’d just done (at the time) for Stalingrad & Woostah’ ! Thank heavens they seem to have finally stopped going down that path in recent years (though T-6 Star Trek Bortas getting 30mm raised my eyebrows nervously, a bit, lol)

Derka!! I've been waiting...nice review. I agree with the tops not needing any extra resources, good enough as is. *I'm watching Tommyboy601 right now and he is building into top reload (ha ha). I enjoy playing the Sejong when there is some support, if everyone abandons your spawn there isn't much you can do. Jinan looks very much the same. I wonder what a fully upgraded Space Fishy and Atago would do for torps? Suppose you gotta be able to use them for them to work. Thank you, hope you're still doing streams. There is a noticeable dearth of Derka. Bring it on, your minions await.

Just watched his game… dang, great game for toors he had! In 19 games I didn’t have a match like that but just goes to show how early matches can mold our opinions on these boats! Really is no substitute I suppose for matches and experience to see what works best over all. I mean yeah you could do fishy and Atago and have insane 73 knot .6 meters detect torps. Reaction time would be insanely low!

Cannot say I ever found the Pan Asian cruisers appealing for me after all of this time. I still only have Chunking at Tier IV and never felt the need to go any higher in that specific tech tree. Jinan, though interesting, still remains a ship that's doesn't pique my interest enough to pursue. It's an odd time for me as I currently have zero Bureau Projects activated which is a first for me after a little over 4 years of playing this game..my last two acquisitions are Kaga & Saipan mostly because they were easy to obtain/free. Right now I have a very nice fleet of 24 Legendary ships comprised of 7 battleships, 1 battlecruiser, 6 destroyers and 10 cruisers that range from light to heavy, so I'm more than set with enough variety at that Tier. I do plan on eventually obtaining Vermont and the now-teased Hindenburg (assuming it will even be a Bureau Project and not restricted behind an awful gambling wall which would not surprise but anger a great many players, but i digress) I must say that this is a very fine demo of the Jinan. It's certainly one of the more cruisers out there, and will quickly become, as mentioned in this video, an immediate priority target to destroy like the Minotaur and the Brisbane. I do wonder if the Jinan will require a higher skill level layer to fully maximize it's capabilities out there.

Hey thanks for sharing that info, I appreciate it. I like doing non meta builds. I found the super stealth torpedos a fun way to play, having something that you literally can’t get your ship to avoid (even agile builds) has its own rewarding feeling. Hey Derka, I pulled a Florida in a crate. How should I equip and play with it. So far when I’ve played with it, it seems like the shells don’t hit hard and are super inaccurate compared to other american battleships. Any tips would help.

I feel that all of the Pan Asian cruisers are just meh. Anemic, I would describe them as. The torpedoes are bait to get you to play, but bait doesn’t always catch fish. When that wall of torpedoes does make contact, or a random ship sails into your blind fired volley, it feels great, but the shells are weak on all of them, from too top to bottom of the line. I usually have good games in them , but that’s due more to 30k + games experience than powerful ships. If you can stay alive, you can have good games in every ship in the game. These aren’t ships you can carry a bad team in though, and are extremely vulnerable at higher tiers. Thanks for the video. I’ll finish the campaign, as I always do, then she will be mothballed to my port until I need her for a bureau project, or am bored and need something different. Kind of like is going on currently with missions involving the Pan Asian fleet! As usual, informative and entertaining content!

I thought the same before finally deciding to grind the line 2 months ago, and oh boy was i wrong. I really feel like these ships are extremely when losing (u know why), and I was really surprised about the fire chance and dpm the sejong have. I didn't have any probleme doing good games back to back, even when winning. But this playstyle doesn't suit everyone, and is really one sided. Maybe u didn't had a good feeling, which is totally comprehensible with this line

U can have thr same type of game play with brisbane . Its not exactly the same but basically brisbane has same range torps same reload but with 30mm he pen. The one enemy ship that is hard to beat is defense . Defense shatters most of the 127mm shels and has good heals and big guns Be careful with brawling defense lol

Also wukong is horrible super low he alpha and low hit points. The he alpha is closer to 127mm guns its 203mm with 1500 he alpha. After playing wukong its bad. Id take charles Martel anytime over wukong I put 3 full salvos into a dd and it still didnt die. The he is useless. The takahasi is pretty strong with al atago 17 percent fire chance 6 second reload on 12 guns

The brawlers do have a purpose, the trick is to pick your battles. Most people who complain about brawlers being useless are usually the ones rushing to within suicide range 1min into the match to try and "brawl". I'm not saying you in particular are guilty of this, it's just what I've noticed about most of the brawler players I've seen even among friends.

With this many torps throw a rack at a DD in a smokescreen. Most of the time they aren't paying attention and run out. I've had pretty solid luck using deepwaters to flush DDs into the open

@@TheEjh3 while that might work sometimes, if you are close enough to spot them when they leave their smoke, then you will also get spotted. Making it VERY situational at best. And imo, it's still better to just use them against cruisers and BBs unless you know you have more support than the red DD. Otherwise you risk getting killed for flushing them out of their smoke.
