I found a glitch where you can get franklin and Trevor to meet before fame or shame where Trevor actually texts Franklin. What you have to do is use Franklin, go to the apartment Wade is staying at, then steal Trevor's truck. Last I checked, it worked. Just drive around in it for a while, then Trevor will text you asking if you stole his truck.
