I was there, 21:26. The LA Forum, turned 18 years old 6-22-77. Unfortunately, I was really rather wasted and can only recall a few moments of that incredible afternoon/evening. No Quarter was one of the few numbers I can still remember. Even though I have experienced many awesome times being "high" in my youth, this night was a complete fail on my part.🙄 But it was 1977, I was young and believed I would remain so through out my existence. Now, 64 and there's so much more. I'm in love with my wife of 40 years, have 2 incredible daughters and two precious grand daughters. That, I did not miss out on.🥰

Just turned 60, but I FEEL 40, no lie! I think that many generations unborn, far into the future, will forget about Led Zeppelin. But, many of those gens will rediscover them and their sound, and be amazed by it, and expose Zep to THEIR children. As a kid growing up in Nashville i was raised listening to R&B as well a Blues which i fell in love with. I also watched the popular tv show He Haw with my granny so I was also exposed to country music. As a teen in middle school and Jr High I saw school mates with rock n roll tshirts that read Led Zeppelin, Kiss, AC/DC, the police, Metallica but never really understood who they were. As time went on I listened to rock n roll and at the time I'd say it's loud music but I've been a fan of the drums as a kid so it sounded cool. Skipped to years later in my older adult life I experienced Led Zeppelin personally and my first song I immediately got hooked on was "stairway to heaven" and OMG it was like a drug. Then also songs like "whole Lotta love", "Imigrant song", "Black Dog" and many others i continued to listen then i began to love song after song after song. Goodness Gracious how could individuals be so gifted and amazingly awesome on a extreme level of greatness. Now I look at live performances from back then and I'm like goodness it's really scary how famous and spectacular Zeppelin were. I wonder if all the fame and glory scared them at all. 2023 Led Zeppelin is the best rock band ever. Goosebumps.

I hope when I'm dead, and in hundreds of years people (with excellent taste in music) are listening to this. Just like Chopin, Mozart etc. I'm Australian and I'm Gen Y (1983) I refuse to be called a millennial. My gen grew up with record players and speakers were at least a meter tall, cassette players which after time were able to REVERSE without turning the tape over, then compact disks and Walkmans came into production. Internet came in with the infamous dial up tone and your butt clenched with anticipation when you finally got online. We crossed over to mp3's (Napster) into the first generation of iPods then the next gen of iPods. So listening to this is literally what it feels like to listen to you Dad play this one a Sunday afternoon on full Vinyl on his Speakers from Brasha's. I love my generation. I love my parents generation. If I ever have kids i'll teach them everything and the 80's and 90's generation. That's a legacy I want to pass on

I just cant believe the criticism of this band from both music critics and music fans. They find everything imaginable to find fault with this band. When they started "Oh They are over hyped" their not that good . They are stealing all the old blues music and calling it there own . This was throughout their Career people. They had to endure a lot of criticism. I think it bothered Jimmy Page the most because this was his idea to form this band he hand selected all these members to create his vision of a versatile style of Rock Music not limited by any style but encompassing all styles of music to create something solid and lasting that would stand the test of time. And the amazing thing about how great and perfect and versatile all these records were. This Band was partying their asses off while touring and then finding time to write lyrics and record music in studios when they had a chance. Some of these songs were recorded in different studios and different countries yet it all sounds cohesive and flowing. These guys were incredible and I Personally Think that they truly are The best representation of hard rock music from the past.

The quiet section that starts at around 3 hours, 31 minutes really shows Jimmy Page's range. My first live experience of Zeppelin was at the theater seeing Song Remains the Same. Myself was a guitarist in his infancy and watching Page was an experience I'll never forget I was like this guy knows everything there is to know on the neck of that guitar what a brilliant player. I got schooled I wore Song Remains the Same out I had the album and later the video. My next live experience with Zeppelin was in Detroit but it was labeled as Paige and Plant after Bonham passing. And when they played Stairway to Heaven and it came time for Jimmy's guitar solo the crowd just exploded. Even missing the other half of the band the power that came off that stage the presence that came off that stage was nothing but greatness. I can't even begin to imagine how amazing it was in their Heyday with the whole band. Sadly there will never be another my younger brother and I are always discussing how lucky we were to be born through the sixties up to the '80s cuz the music was Supreme. Back in the day of radio with radio personalities it was hardly a song that played on the radio that you disliked.

Forget about all of that B.C. and A.D. crap. There is only ONE era of importance : BLZ and ALZ. So glad to be born in '71. Not old enough to really appreciate them in their prime, of course. But thank goodness for older cousins who made damned sure to nurture me on a diet of Zeppelin, Sabbath, Floyd, and Rush. Then I discovered Iron Maiden on my own. So there.....anyway....LED ZEPPELIN. I'm REALLY enjoying this concert!! I've often wondered which concert I would go see if I could go back in time! I did see them in 79' at Knebworth, I was REALLY lucky!! And truly, I don't think it actually matters which concert you see them in, this band has a way of sharing their magic! Their energy in person is palpable! But, I mean, if I DID have a time machine... What better way to use it than to go to the Zep concerts thru the years! ha!! Any other destination would just be a side-bar on my way to the concerts! I suppose I would make a quick stop buy some stock in the early days of Microsoft, or Google, or even Tesla! Other than that, I'd be making sure to be in the 1st 5 rows of these concerts! Camera in hand!! Yep, that would be me!!! This great video is filling that fantasy!! Thank You for all the hard work of putting it together! ❤

You are a lucky man with incredibly good taste in music. I had tickets to see Zep in Pittsburgh in 1977. Show was canceled after Plant's son sadly died during the tour. Was going to see them in Cincinnati in 1980 but unfortunately Bonham died before tour began. Have seen every incarnation of Page and/or Plant touring since then multiple times. As well as JASON Bonham multiple times. But still feel a hole in my soul not having seen Zep live.

. I was a fan as a young teen in the early and mid 1970s.Later, in the period between 1978 and 1985 I was just one of a great many guitar players who played many of these songs in a bar band(s). What we played were as faithful recreations of the studio versions as we could at the time. We didn't change anything. The goal was always to get it as close as possible to the records. That's not what Led Zep was doing at it's own live shows though. This video does a GREAT JOB of showing just how much the songs morphed into something very different than the studio versions as these guys played 'em night after night and tour after tour across the world. When Jimmy Page explains that they couldn't have expected a replacement drummer to be able to "sit in" you can clearly hear why as you listen to these live recordings. 5-10 years on from when the songs were originally recorded. In so many cases the live versions have only passing resemblance to the studio versions. In some cases retaining only enough of the original recording to allow the audience to know what song they were hearing at the time. For me the end of Led Zep came in two big disappointments. First when I heard Jon Bonham was gone and then again when Jimmy Page said, "it's over" and I came to realize he actually meant it.

This had to be mixed together to make it look like a concert that lasted over 5 hours. I'm sure this never happened but for the quality of the love music I'm thoroughly impressed. Robert Plant was the consummate front man and Jimmy Page s guitar is simply from another dimension. His playing I would say is legendary. John Bonham and Jones commanded the very best rhythm section in rock n roll without a doubt. Just keep the great songs coming

They might not have played the entire 5 hours, but they did two 5 hour shows back in 1971, The UK winter tour. The two 5 hour shows were at Wembley Empire Pool, Wembley Park, they were dubbed the electric magic shows and incorporated not only support acts, stone the crows was one of them, but circus acts as well, trapeze, plate spinners, jugglers etc.

I've never been that much of a Led Zeppelin fan before, and didn't really care much for their studio recordings. But hearing them Live they are mind blowingly fantastic sounding. To me hearing them live is like 1,000x better than hearing their studio recordings. And the best part for me is that I'm really only familiar with maybe 15 or so of their songs from their total history. So it's going to be great listening to a huge number of the songs that I've probably never even heard before.

This is some great work. I can believe it took 7 months; 300 hours to put this together. Quite impressive. The outdoor concert footage it great to watch. It gives viewers today a sense for how huge this band was and still is. They rented entire stadiums and filled them no problem. And even if you were sitting on the other side of the stadium and the band were no bigger than ants from your perspective, it was still worth it for the experience of a Led Zeppelin concert. There are about 8 stadiums in the US that can seat 100,000, and Led Zeppelin could fill them no problem even now if they decided to tour and do just those 8 shows. I bet each would sell out in a day when the tickets went on sale. If I was them, I would get a replica 1930's Hindenburg Zeppelin with their name a 4 logos on it to come over the stadium from behind as they came on the stage, and then have it fly around the stadium during the show. That would be awesome.
