Finding music of this quality from an artist from a tiny country like the Faroe Islands always makes me imagine how much more amazing music is being produced around the World, that we just haven't been introduced to yet. There are a lot of insanely talented people out there, just like Eivør.

"Hauntingly beautiful" is right. Eivør's performance was mesmerizing and she has a great voice. I was pretty sure that you would enjoy this song. She sings in Faroese, English, Icelandic, Swedish and Danish. If you are ready for something different then you can check out her song "Trøllabundin". She is singing outdoors on a fjord. For the most part of the song it's just her voice while playing a hand drum. It's chanting, mixed with throat singing and some "breathing sounds" she produces. It's not everyone's cup of tea but definitely something special that you don't hear when listening to the usual mainstream stuff. And that song has 8.4 million views. :-)

..and in Hungarian and norwegian.. btw. Falling free live in Torshavn, and Trøllabundin live in a norwegian fjord is just about the most mainstream you could think of performed by Eivør. Not in a musical sense, but rather in repetitive sense. Another reaction of trøllabundin in a norwegian fjord, but why??? KZbin is just about so filled up with reactions on exactly those two songs, that surely another reaction isn’t called upon. Speaking of mainstream you are doing quite a job of boxing her in.. YES SHE DOES OTHER SONGS TOO.. You should really widen your horizon. May I suggest Eivør - Remember me, or Eivør - verð mín, or Eivør - Brotin, or Eivør - Rain or.. All of them much more chart material..

@@jonathanjoensen2679 I agree with a lot you say (yes the "reactors" are not very inventive. But remember - for Eivør fans - it is like being a kid again when we played casette recordings for our friends of stuff we had heard on the radio during the afternoon. These reactors are like internet buddies for many. So "boy you have not heard Pink Floyd? You got to listen to UmmaGumma in full" is not what you will get. For Pink Floyd one will get "shine on you" and "comfortably numb" and - this is how stuff work among friends. We must also remember that reactors are working the algorithms. What is clicked a lot is gonna be clicked a lot more. Being unconventional on the internet is never gonna be a success in any form. (Being "controversial" and provocotative with zero evidence is for some reason rewarded hard by "big tech". This is why 99% of the good stuff on internet is getting 500 views.

"Eye Vor" ......what is it about Scandinavian singers that allows them to give us such wonderful vocal performances.....English, Norwegian, Faroese.....does't matter, they're equally beautiful and soul-touching.......please check out her song "Trollabundin", which she wrote and performs in Faroese......there are many versions on KZbin, pick ANY ONE for a great listening and visual event !!!
