Angelina sang this beautifully respectful tribute just days after Aretha's passing. Most people will belt this song out, but Angelina does what I think is a much more fitting delivery given the circumstances. You can see the sadness in her eyes over the loss of this music legend. Most people don't catch this, but it is cut short...and there is a 10 second black screen at the end... a moment of silence for Aretha. Vocal ability aside, it always amazes me that someone 12 years old could have this kind of wisdom.

Angelina remade this song in the way she remade Bohemian Rhapsody. Aretha belted this and AJ softened it up and slowed it down. It's the first time I really listened to the lyrics. AJ has a way of doing that to me. The first time I heard I was expecting an Aretha style version but I should have known better. Angelina is a true artist. She performed this just days after the passing of Aretha (RIP), one of AJ's idols. Note the way the song fades at the end and goes to black in a show of respect. Dave, I appreciate the way you bring these different angles to what the artist is doing. It's so refreshing. Thanks

I still vividly recall the day when you did a double reaction to her. You reacted to "All Of Me" and by the end of the video you saw the thumbnail for "I Have Nothing". Your reaction to "I Have Nothing" is still the best reaction I have seen to ANY artist from ANY reactor so far. And that was you believing that she was 15 at the time of the recording. This was toned down by Angelina out of respect and reverence to Aretha following her passing as a tribute. It is also why the video went to black at the end instead of her signature wave and "Bye". It is definitely a different version of the song but it is also a very beautiful and heartfelt performance (especially when you understand the reason behind the performance).

Angelina doesn't want to get involved in a vocal "competition" with Aretha Franklin as to who belts it more. She chose to change the key to the song, yet keeping the same "feel" to it. She's tried that with Whitney Houston and listeners have made comparisons & so on. You may say that she did the same when paying a tribute to Freddy Mercury in "Bohemian rhapsody".
