if youre looking at a new sony a7iii, you’re better off finding a used sony a7iv imo. much better AF and performance, for similar price. it also depends on what system you want to invest in. i’d personally choose sony as my “professional” system

I want to connect the Sennheiser MKE 600 microphone to the Sony FX30 camera via a 3.5mm jack, as I don’t have the XLR handle that comes with the camera. Will the sound quality be good for recording events like weddings without this handle, or is it necessary for proper recording?

you can still get good audio, but it won’t be AS good since you won’t have phantom power to provide the mic with a boost of power
