Long sleeve will be too hot- especially under your dressing gown. Take more plastic bags. 2 pairs of socks is enough. Thongs are great. 1 bra if you are taking breast pads as well. You remind me of me- I took in sooo much- just like you, and it was this huge pile of bags next to my bed. Maybe leave most of it at home and take a photo of it on both your and Ben’s phone, and then Ben can bring you anything you need on day 2- the photos will help him know to bring the right thing. The scar will be in your bikini line- take a hand mirror. Colostrum mostly on day one- make sure baby gets every drop. Leave the whole suitcase at home or in your car- you will not use 95% of it. You are only staying 2 nights, max 3 nights-- keep all your things germ free at home where you will use it. Lanolin is made from sheep’s wool fat, and sheep are regularly dipped, around pesticides-keep it away from baby’s mouth. Will you have a private room? I’m excited for you. Maybe lay all your nice things at home so it will be easier for you when you get home. Fill your pantry with food- or you’ll be ordering takeaway every 10 minutes cos breastfeeding makes you hungry. The nurses will need to pass you your baby all night for breastfeeding- do not hesitate to press your buzzer to call them.
