Little question: why would you use such a server ? What would prevent you from taking an image of the disk, and the booting a VM of it?

Ah I just saw the interfaces, well i suppose there's probably some pcie adapter for that

You totally can. That's what I'm doing right now. However back in 2000 that really wasn't a thing that people did it was mostly deadicated servers.

@@anongator Well the server itself doesn't have PCIe but for these special ethernet looking interfaces maybe there's a pcie adapter you can put in another server ? Unless thats just fancy names for ethernet.

Yea the ELAN/TLAN ports are just normal Ethernet, ELAN is the Ethernet network that's just for the switch equipment, it has no router and is all on the same switch. Tlan is the normal lan we're all your other devices are on

It sat in the rack for a bit. But my CS1000 revision is too new to use it. So it's been send to a friend to be used.. after a SSD upgrade of course. Should be in service for another 20 years
