Montclair's nice! It does tend to be a little aggressive with regard to politics (I'm moderate and don't need the aggravation). I ended up moving to Chatham (long story) and people are a little more chill here.

@@Jeff-Suburbs-of-NYC No, was just emphasizing how Montclair has so many aspects that buyers will find appealing enough to spend way over asking price for. A combination of proximity to Manhattan, the physical attractiveness of the place, the cultural (in many senses) aspects of Montclair.... For an affluent liberal who wants a certain combination of modern sophistication with a kind of Norman Rockwell picturesque quaintness, Montclair seems to offer everything to "gold standard" proportions.
