WHATS THE DIFFERENCE: 631 VS 651

I've purchased 651 to vinyl wrap my bike but I plan on changing it in 2 months. Being that I'm always on the road I thought 651 would be better than 631 yet I do not want the original color to peel when removing the vinyl. I'm I good to use 651 or should I exchange for 631?

No. 631 is very very limited, less then 25% of the life outdoors.

I would use either 641 which is slightly better then 631 or use a matte laminate on the 651

You honestly could use either or. It takes about 24-48 hours for 651 to really set up and be permanent. However we do sell a product, from Orafol, call oramask 813. It is specifically for stenciling. Hope that helps! Thanks for the comment

Yes and no. 631 can last outside for up to 2 years but all the elements have a large impact on that.

951 would be a better choice for that. You need a cast material in order to wrap things with curves

Wait a minute so is all Matte Vinyl 631 for Indoors ? I know you said it can be used outdoors as well but then it will only last about 2 years ? I just purchased Vinyl Decals off of Ebay for my Doge Ram Truck to go on the sides of the bed and the Seller is the one who convinced me to get the Black Matte instead of the glossy. He failed to tell me that it will only last about 2 years as opposed to 6 - 7 Years if I had bought the Glossy.

So decals in 651 are designed for outdoors on a truck back windshield with dark tint is it really hard to remove on glass windshield if and when u want to change it

Once its applied it is ment to stay put. It can be removed but adhesive remover would be required. Thanks for the comment!!!

On glass, it is relatively painless to get it off using a razor blade. You will need to remove residual adhesive with lighter fluid, peanut butter or adhesive remover.

Try taking your sheet and rubbing the back against a table edge to try and break the adhesion. Also make sure to peel up the backing and not the transfer tape and vinyl

Great video. Question for you. I work in a college and were trying to buy this oracle 651 or 631 paper. Do you know if they are compatible to InkJet printers? We have a Canon Wideformat IPF9400. We would be using a 24inch roll, to make signage that is 24 x 18. Thank you!

You could use 651 for that. It would hold up to the elements. As far as scratches or something like that, there isn't anything that will hold up better or worse. 751 and 951 are cast material. Those are going to be used more to change the color of a complete part vs something you would cut out to add to. 751/951 are truly used to wrap cars

751 is a better vinyl because of life span for some products. It is also a cast material that helps it conform to curves better although it is meant to be used on flat surfaces.
