Whats wrong with my TS-940S Kenwood ham radio

I think I payed $100 for this radio or something like that didn't work there was a bunch of attempted repairs on the control board it had lots of cold solder joints and when I finally did get it working the receive seems okay but the meter indicates that it is not on most bands and the volume control needs to be turned really far if you have any idea what this problem could be please let me know thank you

I would suspect some relays and first RX LNA transistors. Measure transistor bias, jumper a suspicious relay.

I have to at least get it back to working how it was yesterday before i made it worse haha 😄
