[Stereo feed] Great performance on USTV. This is the first of 2 segments on that night's appearance. This would be a medley, and a grand one, at that.

After watching this video countless times over the years, I’ve decided one of the great moments in rock history is when Mitch Mitchell walks back to light a cig between songs before his unleashing. THAT’S GBV.

Julian Casablancas got a lot of his vocal and stage affectations from this performance. One of the all time greats!

I remember me and my roommate in college being blown away by this performance when we saw it on tv back in 95. One the best bands ever. I got to see them in 2001 and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

i love how during motor away the one guitarist doesnt even play anything until halfway through the song so that when the feedback comes howling in and he hammers that chord it sounds so fucking massive.

Bob’s classic jacket. Wonder what happened to it. I last saw it on the Mag Earwhig tour. Should be at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

Motor Away has always been an earworm for me, but hearing it in this context makes you realize just how well-written it truly is. Such sweet sweet powerpop.

A jon Stewart without a lick of grey hair, this lineup. I miss the 90s

Wow! What a weird video to stumble upon. It's both dated and also feels like it was only yesterday. I suppose, that is the nature of life. The 90's were okay. Just okay.

Crazy how much Julian of the Strokes stole his moves and clothing. I know he was a big fan though.

The new band is freakin awesome and tight and powerful...but, I have a HUGE place in my heart for the shambolic, energetic and endearing character of this lineup...Mitch Mitchell is the best...an everyman's rock and roll star/dreamer

I love how they always cut to Kevin when he would hit the crash.

I had this awesome dream...Peter Townsend and Roger Daltrey reached out to Bob and, they asked him to join them on stage to sing "Baba O'Riley"

Thank you so much for sharing! I remember this like it was yesterday. I had picked up "Bee Thousand" and the "Vampire on Titus/Propeller" combo on a boxing day sale in '94 upon reading that Bob Mould was a huge fan. By the time this show aired, an acquaintance had made me a tape of the bootleg "Crying your knife away" and I was a full-blown fan and I didn't even know what the guys looked like -- I guess I thought some of the pictures in the Bee Thousand liner notes might be them only to discover that Bob Pollard was this Tom Berenger-looking guy! "Alien Lanes" hadn't yet come out so this was the first time we got to hear the new material. And later on, we would find out that the medley was not how the songs were sequenced in the album (startling since it sounded so good in this appearance). As I recall, the band played "My son cool" on the outro to the show and it sounded massive...I'd get to meet and hang with the band for a whole day later that year when they came to Toronto...great memories.

Love when the Les Paul squeels into the number with the Who-inspired power chords at
