What a lovely meals of the week with your trip footage and the menus. And those chocolates looked amazing. I’m a chocoholic, especially the good stuff. The first thing I do before a trip is google what chocolate shops there are and make sure to go try. Thanks for sharing your trip and your meals. 🏴🇺🇸

I've never thought of doing that unless I knew a particular type of chocolate that I could only get in that place. Lol I like the way you think!
@annegraham43072 жыл бұрын
@@LindaC616 I hit the chocolate shops first day of my trip. Pick a bunch of flavors to try and then go back and buy my favs by the pound to bring back with me. I really don’t like getting the whole assortment box since I usually don’t care for all the flavors. I even have a chocolate fund. 😄 I save up all my loose change. Helps towards the cost, especially when a pound of chocolate can be $40 and up at high end chocolatiers. I’m looking forward the next time I go to London to go to Harrod’s. They have built a chocolate emporium. Gonna need more than loose change for that; gonna need a bank loan.😂
@LindaC6162 жыл бұрын
@@annegraham4307 That's hilarious! Maybe I should try the pocket change bit. I think I currently have about $50 in loose change lol.... When I went to Spain on a group trip as the leader, we had a few hours free in Toledo. I saw that a chocolate shop where a friend had bought a few of us truffles after dinner had chocolates that I liked. When I went in the next day, and saw that they did not have a lot of the flavor that I liked, I asked if they had another store. They said yes, they had another store on another street, and so I took myself down that street the next time I visited to buy a 1/2 kilo of the kind that I liked. It was June and so the hot weather was coming and they wouldn't have them for very long. But I did savor those (Uñas brand, cortados type. Flavors: orange and hazelnut, a few coffee 😋)

I had a quarter of a submarine sandwich to go a few summers back when my niece and her children were visiting. They ate theirs in the car, but I was driving. So I was holding that last quarter of a sandwich about 1 or 2" from my mouth sitting on the beach. I was wearing a visor. That thing came from *behind* me and with great precision, knocked into my head, knocking down the visor, grabbed the sandwich and flew off before I could even open my mouth! We have a couple of beaches here in town, but apparently the ones at that beach are quite ballsy.... I used to live closer to the other beach and had never seen that happen before.

Welcome to Welsh Wales! I am delighted to see that you have chosen to visit Wales and spend your money in Wales. Respect. Thankyou for buying fish n chips at Barnacles. As you say yourself, they are not the very best fish n chips. But they are also not the most expensive fish n chips. They are what they are. Foir the price, they are at the least, edible and to be fair, they are truly wonderful value for money. There are several other fish n chipperys in Llandudno which are far more expensive and far worse quality. Thankyou for paying to ride the big wheel. It is operated by the same man who owns the rest of the pier. Entry to the pier is free and is mostly available 24/7/52. He is working very hard to promote North Wales and I take my hat off to him. There is a massive back story to Llandudno. It includes Lords, Sirs, military, landed gentry, scandal, fairytales, urban expansion, flooding mitigation, endangered species... And if you didn't visit the Great Orme then how could you know about the cable cars, the victorian tramway, the copper mines, the goats (even Elen DeGeneres knows about them!), or even the hourly public transport bus which serves the Summit. Not to mention the connections with boxing, UFOs and Camera Obscura. Thankyou for visiting and be assured, visiting Harveys twice was a good thing! Expensive, yes. Good food, yes.

I'm so glad to see that you chose battered Haddock at the chip shop, Cheryl. Coming from the east coast of Northern Ireland, and lying just 15 nautical miles away from Scotland, we are lucky to have some superb fishing waters around our countries! The local fishermen and trawlermen tell us to avoid Cod fish like the plague. Cod, apparently, is a bottom-feeder and eats anything and everything which falls to the sea bed....Used sanitary towels, used condoms, ANYTHING which has died and descended to the deep, used toilet paper and untreated human sewage....🤢🤢🤢🤢. I think I'll stick to the middle-feeders like Haddock, or a tin of tuna or sardines! 🤣🤣🤣
