I can’t help but wonder if it was one of your birthdays,as you were away . Just had a feeling and needed to ask lol. I was Thursday, myself 🤩.I’m in the fourty niners club,a penultimate year xx Wow,you had a big fancy for baked beans on toast…there’s got to be a gag to be found in this I’m sure. Nothing wrong,in fact nothing nicer when you want it.. Your holiday looked beautiful and totally my kind of thing….these small establishments are very hidden, hotspots 👌🙌👏🏻

Love how you showed breakfast too. Even if it was bean and toast mostly. We just don't eat that across the pond.. but I'm sure it's good.. Beans and cornbread is good but I think our baked beans are a tad different than what you're used to as well.. Beautiful area you were in. I bet Jasoer was happy to see you when you got home ❤🐈‍⬛

Beans on toast sounds like something I need to try. That bread used for the toast looks yummy. Kind of reminds me of French toast bread. Denser and dryer than regular American white bread, great for toast. Now I’m hungry 🤤.

Welcome home!! 😂💕 Wow! I would love beans and toast everyday on that lovely homemade bread. I'm so amazed by how nice the deli ham looked. Here in Pennsylvania USA I have never been able to get what looks like genuine ham at the deli. We've something called ham off the bone you get sliced, but even it looks and tastes over-processed. Anyway, glad you both enjoyed your holiday.

I am the only American I know who eats beans on toast. I discovered it from the movie _Bend It Like Beckham._ I often eat an Americanized version using "burnt end beans," which are beans in barbecue sauce with little pieces of barbecued pork in. Really comforting on a cold, wet day.

Coffee bags came out in the 70's but didn't seem to be popular. When they brought them out again the adverts made out that they had just thought of them. Made me laugh.. Glad they brought them back as I think they are handy and enjoy the coffee they make.

I love beans on toast! I’m hanging out for some at the moment but I made a batch of borlotti bean soup for my lunches this week so I figure it’s probably not a good idea to have double beans 😂😂 As soon as the soup is finished I’ll bake some bread for toast. I love that room. Just gorgeous. And such a sweet little biscuit jar.

It's funny how you can have what you want for breakfast, when you're on vacation but you really just want comfort food. My friends used to laugh at me when I'd be on a cruise and have Cheerios and milk for breakfast. It looked like a really nice and relaxing place. I have watched that TV show. Pretty cool that that was a setting for it. When you said quorn cottage pie, I didn't see the spelling and thought there was going to be corn in it.

It’s so lovely and quaint at this B&B. No wonder you love to return here. Don’t blame you. Looks utterly peaceful and restful. How much do they charge per night at this lovely place? I know you will quote it in uk 🇬🇧 pounds. I just want to compare the cost we get charged in Ontario Canada. The full breakfasts look Devine and most appetizing. I so much enjoyed the series all creatures great and small. I can’t wait for another season if they create it. I’m in love with this beautiful village. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from 🇨🇦 🍁 Canada

I love looking at beautiful places back home. So many places to visit. Cute vintage bed and breakfast hotels, gorgeous village and scenery.stunning! Loved the meals. My American family enjoy beans on toast too! There are a couple of places that sell the Heinz beans here in the US.. We put grated cheese right on the beans and toast it til it’s melted! My dad used to like onions, chillis and cheese with the beans! Lovely trip thank you!

That looked like a lovely trip! I think most Americans think if this kind of village when we picture the UK or Ireland. Just lovely. It looked like a motorcycle trip as well, we've not been on one since the start of the dreaded covid. 😝 The scenery is beautiful and tells me why the Scots and Irish settlers stopped when they came to the Appalachia mountains over here. It probably was the first land they saw that reminded them of their homeland.

Hi Susan, speaking as a true Yorkshireman born and bred, Thirsk IS where Alf Wight aka James Herriot practiced. The surrounding areas, like Askrigg were used for filming for All Creatures.... Also, just to say the correct pronunciation down here is beans ON toast, not & (never heard it called that), and it is pronounced York-Sherr not York-Shire. Ask any true Yorkshireman and we are very proud of this. Tha can't tell some folk!!
