Edit... the kids loved it amd have requested this for every thursday! I'm in the process of making this as we speak, can't wait to taste it later, I've never used double cream in this recipe before, hopefully it'll make the kids like it 🤞

Cheryl! Simple, easy, hardly any effort and delicious! That's how recipes should be at times, unless you have the time and are making something special. Both have their own place. 🙂😋❤

So easy, even I could and did make it for my wee family today, and they all loved it. Probably the first time I have cooked something from scratch in over 20 years (my wife is a great cook, but I wanted to surprise her with a treat). What a great wee feed we had. 🙏👍👌 From Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺😂

Your Chicken Stew looks wonderful! I was looking at my crockpot (slow cooker) the other day and thought I can hardly wait for cooler weather to bring out my crockpot to make thick soups and hearty stews. Thanks Cheryl, I’m gonna try your stew! 💕🇺🇸

Hi Cheryl, it’s only me ~ another great great recipe which looks delicious. I’m very tasty - I’m looking forward to the weekend when I see your shopping haul and meals of the week - oh my goodness it is so hot I cannot believe it - I’m really suffering this week. I’ve got a portable air-conditioner unit on. I’ve got two fans on full blast. I just hope night nurse is not late with medication tonight because I can’t wait for bedtime ~ sending loads of love and loads of hugs as always ~ Xxx Xxx

Oh my, that looks so good! Yum. I'm in the western USA and the high temperature in my city has been 99 and 100 degrees. So pretty hot. But honestly I'd still make it especially because my apartment is not hot with air conditioning. I wish i was eating a bowl right now. However it's 2:00 in the morning and I'm having a hard time sleeping. So I wouldn't be able to make it right now anyway. Lol.

Wonderful easy recipe. Love all the 'wees' haha. 'give it a wee stir ... add a wee bit of pepper'. In US we would serve this with fluffy biscuits which are similar to your scones but not exact. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Cheryl, when I found your video just now , I couldn't help but laugh. My only grandson Daniel loves stew! He doesn't ca re what the season is he is always ready for stew and fresh bread.anyway while try to escape the high 30's temperatures we've been having having ,cooking is kinda hit or miss some days. so he has a friend from school coming early tomorrow morning for the weekend of a soccer tournament, they play different team but gò to the same school .well his friend Tiernan love my homemade dinner rolls, and while I was at it I made " clean out the fridge stew." The was leftover roast beef, vegetables that needed to be used up .the meat was already slow cooked a pre seasoned the veggies ca fr a veggies tray from last night's dinner, I added anion, fresh mushrooms started slow in a bit of olive oil one large chopped onion, carrots, celery and a 3 lb bag of well scrubb Irish cobbler potatoes, after braising I added 2 liters off beef stock a lump of butter and salt and pepper, simmered for as long as the rolls took to bake. Needless to say my boy is happy! Take care .Blessed Be j

Nice! In the US, the meat has water solution added to the meat when it's processed, and it comes out when it cooks. Is meat processed that way there?

I keep an old jam jar for mixing cornflour. Tight fitting lid and I can give it a really good shake with the water or milk.

Sherylll! Pleeeease don’t be one of those cringey people who say “veggies” 😩🙈 we don’t say that in Scotland girl! If we shorten it we say veg. Leave the cringey “veggies” to the Americans, and the ones trying to be american.
