It still breaks as you saw, it just doesnt shatter. Take front windshields for example, what happened in the video is what happens with normal cars front windshield, it's made like that so you are able to kick off the full glass piece to have a safe way to exit the vehicle incase you cant open the doors. Just like school buses front windshields, they're made to not shatter and to pop off when you kick them out

The thing is when he was dropping the steel ball on the "transparent metal window panel", it did not and would not shatter. I believe he was screwed by his own people when they put glass in this thing. He fully expected for the installed window panels to act like the ones used for the demonstration, did you see his face? I honestly love the cyber truck. Though the roadster holds a place in my heart due to the 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds (the fastest 0-60 is 2.4 secs) I truly love the cyber truck. Great specs and would be very useful. But they still need to work out the kinks, the glass broke because when they hit the door the base of the glass broke which weakened it, hope they fix that. Overall, another great product from Tesla

Yeah because intelligent people actually know it was just an error that someone made and can look past that, unlike yourself. They did actual testing prior to this on the glass and it never broke. It's just the one they had one stage did and it was probably rushed in some way. Make no mistake, the real thing will withstand the metal ball.

People are failing to understand how bulletproof glass works. The glass doesn't stop the bullet the bulletproof polycarbonate panel laminated to the glass is what stops it. Clearly Elon didn't expect it to break with just the steel ball but in the end the stiffness of the glass has nothing to do with whether or not a bullet is stopped.

It would easily be just as bad if not worse due to the fact that the Lithium needs mined, the Carbon foot print of EVs is larger than ICE vehicles throughout their lifetime, but what you're getting here is the PERFORMANCE that Electric AWD vehicles can bring.

@@vertwo.d8169, he is wrong, but go ahead and research anyway. Nothing wrong with that. The quick answer is, Lithium gets mined once to PRODUCE an EV and it can be recycled. Oil gets mined repeatedly to be CONSUMED and destroyed by a gas vehicle. The same argument is used to attack solar panels and wind turbines, but it's BS in that case too. Ask him if he thinks climate change exists. I'm pretty sure I know the answer based on his avatar and user name. Those types are pretty much never a reliable source of information.
