Nice review. I'm only about an hour into the game, and still on the fence myself. I think for me, the biggest frustration is lack of a minimap. I have zero sense of direction, poor short term memory, and aphantasia (inability to visualize anything in my mind). Combined, those things make for a scenario where I'm constantly needing to pause the game, bring up the map, figure out where to go, back out, fly a little while, and repeat the process. A simple minimap would have fixed that for me, but oh well. Maybe if I play a bit longer I'll learn the most common routes around the island and can finally sit back and enjoy whatever is left of the game at that point, lol. I did hear the dev is working on more content, so maybe a future update will introduce that feature. I'm certain it would help a lot of people.

Is that something I can add to future review to help people make more informed choices? Things like mini maps and quest indicators? How did you end up finding the game?

@@whatsitlikeau Sure, mini maps and/or quest location indicators are super helpful for some players (like myself). I would love either a mini map or a toggleable arrow in this game that would point the way to where I need to go. Or both, if I'm feeling greedy, ha. I'd actually been looking forward to this game for a few months, ever since hearing about it on a "cozy gaming" channel awhile back. I haven't picked it up again since my first play session yesterday, but do plan to hop back in and try to grind to the point where I'm familiar with the island's layout. Thankfully it's not a huge island, so I'm hopeful that will makes the game a bit less frustrating and more chill for me.

Thats good to know. I have had some suggestions about what to talk about for accessibility and I've been doing a bit of research. I'll keep this in mind when adding to my reviews. I'm glad there's no real time limits on deliveries apart from some Ice cream quests, it makes it chill even when lost!

Man I have the same issue in that I am directionally challenged with a short attention span and hate not having a map. I love this kiki's delivery service vibe, but maybe will pass on this game for now sadly.

​@@whatsitlikeauAbout accessibility, I agree about mentioning in reviews especially how easy it is to get lost in a game and what exactly the map options are like. Because there were so many great games, I couldn't like this much because it was very inconvenient for me to find the way. It has nothing to do with this video, but I personally often wonder by games with those flashy lights if there is any options to turn it off. As example I bought Owlboy before, then it got unplayable for me after approx 2 hours, because some attacks of a new ability have always flashy lights. Maybe you can mention such things in your reviews as well, if you not already do (I'm new here and just recently subscribed, because I really like your reviews!).

Honestly, I was beyond excited for this game and I have waited the years for it to get made. But I am absolutely frustrated with this game and I don’t find it cozy whatsoever! I’m just nonstop confused I don’t know what to do. I don’t have any gaming friends who play this that know and answer questions. I don’t know where to go to find questions, so it’s such a waste of money because I just don’t wanna play it. I can’t figure it out. I’m a grown woman and I can’t figure this game out. I don’t know where to go. It doesn’t show me on the map. You’re just supposed to figure it out and I can’t find the place. It’s supposed to be on the way to the old Mill. I’m on the way to the old Mill. I’m up to the old Mill. I still can’t find it and the fact that you have to not get things wet, but I leave the lady who’s asking me to deliver the package and immediately dropped to the water and it gets wet. I don’t know how to fly, I don’t understand the mechanics of it, no matter how much I practice trying to fly. I don’t get this game. It’s so confusing and I wish I had someone to help me. I’m so unhappy I bought this!
