"I'm always right there for anyone who disagrees with me is wrong, And if I'm always right literally all my actions are justifiable." But she also said that clinical narcissists are also very caring provided that you live by their rules. And if they are physically abusive they are the type to say: "Why do you make me hit you?" Which is why when Simon said to Grace "I liked what we had, But you made me do this." That's an example of him refusing to take responsibility for his actions and blaming the fact that he was doing them on another person because he absolutely refused to believe that he was doing anything wrong. Hence why he is a clinical narcissist.

Think about it, she spent over thirty years on the train, not just refusing to let go of her problems; but she OVERTHREW the train conductor and tampered with it for her own benefit. That's a long time to build up a high number. She did a lot of things against the train's purpose so her number increased. Even if she accepted to let go of Ulrick, she still has to make amends for what she did after overthrowing One-One. Her purpose is now to 'fix' the train, after that if she has properly reconciled with her trauma with Ulrick, the train will open a door for her. The train stacks your inability to cope with your problems as well as just being a complete asshole.

It’s worth remembering that for all the horrible things Simon did-he was following Grace’s lead. She taught him every belief he has, and likely would’ve never changed if she hadn’t believed Hazel to be a passenger. If she had been turtle-esque when they first met, Grace likely would have written her off the same way Simon does later. Maybe even killed her. Tuba wouldn’t have gotten a chance to live without Hazel there, that’s for sure. Point is, Simon’s monstrous actions are direct consequences of believing in Grace’s way of life, so we can’t absolve her of that responsibility. Simon may be the one stuck in his ways, but Grace has been killing denizens like Lake and Tuba and brainwashing hundreds of children to do the same for a very, very long time. From his perspective she was a hypocrite, believing lies from someone working for the person who’s been hunting his family, just cuz she developed a fondness for someone whom he was taught by Grace herself was not deserving of it. Simon is horrible, he’s truly the worst kind of human there is, and there are no excuses for that. We just have to accept that Grace isn’t exactly a good person either. I mean Grace changes, and that’s great-but she’s got a long, long way to go before she can be considered redeemed in any meaningful way. Just important to remember.

She knew she'd made a bigger monster than the ones she'd convinced herself existed all throughout the train. And the train has some scary shit both on, and outside it. But she can't kill him. No no no. When you make a monster, and it smiles at you as a child smiles at its parents, it becomes that much harder to do what needs to be done. But Amelia doesn't care.
