I've seen five different reviews for this movie (after I saw the movie, of course) and I'm loving the different perspectives from each review. That's very rare in a movie. This movie is definitely a rarity and begs to be seen again. If you haven't seen this movie already, avoid all spoilers and go see it ASAP!

The moment I saw the start I knew where this was going, mostly... I didn't find it too amazing or clever. What I did appreciate was the actual characters. Before they get to the cabin, you get to know them, like them and realize they are not the archetypes they will eventually be. "He's a sociology major," sticks in my head. That is what is rarely explored, these plastic characters actually being characters. I really appreciated that.

I'm pretty sure that was Marty messing around with the control box. The maintenance guys said that the power was rerouted 'from upstairs.' The cabin was up above them. Whether he did it intentionally or not, who knows. Maybe he was just pulling wires out randomly.

Christy's math skills continue to amaze. :) Thanks for sending me to the movie before the review. I knew nothing going into it. As I was watching it I started telling myself that I'll bet Joss Whedon had a part in making this movie (I don't know if he was in the opening credits, I was too busy trying to figure out what the images were, thinking they were important). When I saw the guy who played Andrew on BtVS, I was sure. Great movie. Glad you all saw it.

My only problem with the movie: A gas that can make someone change their mind and offer a very specific suggestion. When Chris Hemsworth gets hit with the gas after suggesting they all stay together, and it makes him suggest they split up. I'm perfectly fine with everything else, but some of the chem lab's work kind of threw me out of it. I adored this movie though. Definitely my favorite of the year so far.

I haven't seen it yet, but I want too. 4. You guys can all say whatever, but this is what I do. 5. I do these things cause I plan on making a Movie Review account, and probably just a "REVIEW ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING REVIEWER"account.

I know right? It doesn't really make sense to have a problem with something so minor when there are magic creatures, ghosts, gods, monsters, and even Unicorns. Maybe because it's called the Chem Lab, I immediately think science. Then again, "chem" could just as easily refer to "alCHEMy," and they could be the vapors of some magic potion concoction. It just seemed weird while watching that they could get such specific results with chemicals n such.

I'm fairly certain the moviemakers were at least implying that this movie takes place within the Buffy/Angel universe, as it would explain the presence of all the mosters and mystical creatures in The Facilty. Obviously they don't need to really explain anything(it IS still a horror movie, after all), but it's an interesting idea. Also leaves room for sequel in which the Slayers save the world from the evil gods. FTW!

i personally really enjoyed the ending. first of all, the movie kept building up the ancients all throughout, and even just catching a small glimpse of 'em, it was great, would've been a huge letdown had the movie not shown them. plus, what i really like about it is that is leaves you wondering, it leaves you with this great sense of excitement about it. i mean, screw the happy ending, the world being destroyed by the hands of (SPOILER!!) giant mythical titans?! that's sooo cool.

This movie is just so great, I enjoyed every minute of it. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I can respect and appreciate what the writers were doing and why they had it end the way they did but I was just so let down. It was awesome to see that hand shoot up but it made me kind of resent the characters. They were so unwilling to die they would hold onto life for a minute longer even if it meant the end of the world. I'm not sure if that was the writer's goal but that's how I felt.

What a great movie this was. I went in expecting sort of a Shawn of The Dead horror/comedy and got that plus a great concept and plot! At first I was disappointed with the monsters they chose (I've seen zombies a million times), I wanted to see more movies with other weird creatures, the robot, etc. but once they got to the elevator scene I was thoroughly satisfied!

the only problem I had with the movie was the focus on some of the creatures. There were many iconic villain rip-offs, but some creatures who had a lot of screentime were just "Mehhhh, I wanna see more cool stuff!" (namely Werewolf and the giant Snake, I dunno. I'd rather have seen more of the psycho doctors, or the strange, masked gang, or the Mermaid :D)

The explanation with drugging the kids when they start to put pieces together was excellent! If this was the very first horror movie you watched, cabin would spoil decades worth of slasher flicks. Before they even gone to the cabin they were normal ordinary smart college students but once they gone to the cabin they changed roles like the stoner pointed out. That was the only thing that had me wondering wtf. The gas makes them change quick too.

None of those two. I loved the premise, the first 45-50 minutes was pretty good, it was a 7.5 for me at that point. But once the twist was fully revealed (for everyone), it became predictable, and I was not impressed by the last 30 minutes. It's a 6-6.5 for me.

It had cool ideas, but me not caring for any of the characters lost my investment in what was happening. And it being not a good horror movie in addition to the much better satire and comedic aspects, unlike Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Evil Dead, Shaun of the Dead, or Troll Hunter that do both aspects equally well.

When a small blast of some chemical can make someone change their mind to one super very specific option in a matter of seconds, though? That's what I thought was weird. But as I replied to other people, magic n shit. Maybe it was magic potion and not some normal chemical compound! *shrug* Movie was still awesome.

I can certainly see your point of view and I have to admit it was cool but it's cool in the same way it's cool to see the main character get killed in an awesome way. I just wish it was an alternate ending on the DVD/Blu-Ray instead of the cannon ending.

This movie is in that category of movies that should never have made it to big screen with Army of Darkness/Dodgeball/Balls of Fury/Little Man etc.,. Just bad
