Just my opinion, but having been around "undesirable characters", my entire life. The item(s)Jeremy was looking for, was/were undoubtedly the first things sold or pawned for $$$. As many who are involved in illicit "funny business" treat such things as currency. So IMO the original owner a) sold/pawned/traded the "item" for illicit items b) gave the Item to a "friend" for safe keeping during his incarceration. c) has the item secreted away, for later retrieval. But actually who knows what goes through people's thoughts, while in that state of mind.

Yes that deck of cards is waterproof, but when you finish playing the cards you have to take a paper towel to each and every one of them to get all the moisture off of the plastic because it will build up on the inside where the cards at. Food for thought
