As an INTJ I often feel misunderstood, outcast and unappreciated, despite having good ideas. We're not often popular, which means people don't listen when it matters. The I told you so moments then follow. But in this modern world of social media etc, 'popular' beats 'correct' every single time.

It's like a doctor - they can give you medicine, but it's up to you whether you take it. Most people don't want advice. I've been criticized for giving it and accused of bad intentions, so I stopped giving it. Sometimes you have to accept that someone wants to learn from their mistakes instead of avoiding them. When it comes to relationships with people, let's face it, people come and go. The most important thing is to feel good about yourself and find your calling. The people who are meant to be in your life will find you if you're active enough. Since I was a child, I've had better contact with animals than with people and nothing has changed in that regard. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? People are different. Maybe INTJs are created to take care of animals?

One of the best videos I've ever seen on INTJ. I have a very good balance of left and right-brained thinking and it really confuses people. When I had an Instagram , it was very artistically creative. I was following an MBTI themed account at the time and I remember them reposting a whimsical video of mine before deleting it shortly after. I'm 99.9% sure it's because while they found my antics amusing for an INTJ (and wanted to showcase a more unique side of this personality type), they figured I likely mistyped myself and removed the repost. The thing is, I'm an INTJ / Enneagram 4w5 (yes it's very possible 😄), and so people just have a hard time making sense of me.

@@WhatTypeYes I'm 100% sure I'm an INTJ. I've taken various assessments from a myriad of different sources over the span of a decade and I consistently get INTJ. My ex is an INFJ and while we got along well there were many VERY clear differences 😄. For example, we both enjoyed music production. He would just open his DAW and let his creativity flow (no planning necessary). Meanwhile I created diagrams/graphs/charts, etc. to structure the sounds I wanted to build first...like "sound maps" that needed to "mathematically make sense" to me. He thought it was super bizarre. Actually everyone did. The thing is, I realized I have a very scientific approach to creativity and a very creative approach to science. That's the best way I can describe it 😅.

@@WhatType **ETA: This is a response to a second comment from WhatType that may or may not be removed now. Your intuition (or just a plug, which I'm not mad at by the way) may be causing statements of doubt, but I have no doubt whatsoever 🙂. Assessments, no matter how many you may take, have the potential to be faulty due to objectivity issues. However, objectivity has never been a major problem for me (unless it's a lack of it from others 😂). I noticed that the INTP I know was able to correctly type himself via assessments. He and several others aside from himself (including me) could confirm that his test results matched up to his observable, daily way of being. The ESFJ and INFP however, were constantly at a loss as to why their assessment results (no matter the source) never actually matched them. I literally had to sit with them and help them objectively choose their answers. Both the ESFJ and INFP confirmed that the results were surprisingly accurate. By "surprisingly" I mean to them, not to me. Each person will have unique traits regardless of type, however these individuals were stereotypes of their MBTI classifications....down to their careers/interests: A highly social, temperamental baker and a writer / senior analyst transitioning to the D&I field. Can you guess who is who? Difficult, I know. When considering recurring patterns, I found that F is consistently the common denominator for the most severe issues regarding objectivity....but this makes sense. Anyway, while INTJ is a pretty infamous type, I was never thrilled to consistently receive it as my result. It seemed to reiterate people's incessant complaints that I am disconnected and arrogant....severely lacking tact, compassion, and the ability to truly live in the moment. Can I be disconnected and arrogant at times? Definitely. However, not for the reasons regurgitated by too many. I do not lack compassion. When someone has a problem, I may not be the greatest at stereotypical displays of empathy, but my desire/ability to find an effective solution to help assuage their suffering is absolutely compassion. It's just not the type they prefer *shrug*. Many just want a hug and a "it's going to be ok" with no practical solution 😕, but I digress . Also doesn't help that I'm not very touchy (I literally get the urge to hiss at being touched 🤣). The thing is I actually love touch, just only with very specific people, at very specific times, for very specific reasons. As for arrogance, I would say it's far more arrogant to expect anyone to prioritize your personal feelings over literal facts. Like, what makes YOU so important? Yet somehow people decided it was the other way around. I think it's reasonable that I at least try to say the truth in a less insensitive way at times, but the truth will be said. I downright refuse to make any further accomodations besides that. And by truth I mean objective truths, not subjective ones. It's a fact that green is an ugly color to Bob. It is not a fact that green is an ugly color. I don't live in the present moment much. That's true and I have no argument whatsoever about that. As for feelings, I am extremely deep-feeling. I'm simply not outwardly expressive. It's just not usually practical/useful on a day to day basis for me. I tend to express emotions through art/creativity (dancing, building, writing, etc.). I'm more interested in understanding my feelings than simply feeling or expressing them blindly. I try to convert my feelings into tangible/observable forms that "make sense" in some way and my nack for innovation allows for very creative ways of doing this. Hope this gives you (or anyone that stumbles upon this comment) more insight into a lesser known/explored subtype of the INTJ personality.

However I would like to understand how this works so that I could control them consistently, if that is possible at all. I just know for now that to use Ni I need lots of raw or unprocessed data. Too many inaccurate generalizations here. One of the most important things about INTJs is that they are idealists, which means that they tend to be guided by a nuanced model of the universe they spend a lot of time building Many INTJs find the pursuit of money, power, and celebrity as contradicting their values and distasteful and corrupting. If someone is clearly seeking these, then there is something out of alignment. They are also very sensitive and their intuition deepens their perception and empathy beyond the surface, even if that is not expressed visibly. After all, INTJs are interested in the "inner" reality of things, not the superficial. Many INTJs prefer to work "behind the scenes" on big projects that stimulate them both an intuitive and intellectual level and that they feel makes an important contribution to the world. For this reason, you will not see many "in the limelight."

INTJ is geared and suited more towards masculine personality. It’s particularly an added layer of nuances that can be discussed to the ‘being misunderstood’ part as female INTJ. Female INTJ has to face perceptions and challenges from both genders whenever she shows up as herself, in challenging the norm or ‘the box’. She intimidates the men, she becomes the enemy and source of jealousy for women. Maybe also on masculinity and soft sides of INTJ females on how she functions. The Queen’s Gambit can be a good example material.

INTJ is only one layer of complexity, include INTJ-A and INTJ-T, you get two variations, Include 9 Enneagram types with 18 wings, you get 36 Variations, include Jungian 12 Archetypes and you get 432 distinct variations.
@WhatType4 ай бұрын
I would recommend checking out Dario Nardi’s subtypes to get even more variations. I would also suggest that it’s possible that some Enneagram/Myers-Briggs combinations may not exist. For example, I’ve never seen an INTJ 7. Doesn’t mean that they don’t exist, but I haven’t seen any instances of a number of these combos, so I personally question if they do or don’t.
@Mathematchit4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. Also, you not wrong, through the three categorical filters i provided, i doubt ALL 12 Jungians Archetypes apply, im INTJ-T, Type 5W4 with a Hero Complex, i bet in my tribe, i am common. Mathematically speaking, there are 432 types, that's a mathematical fact, my job is to eliminate the improbable, you know, to get absolutes. INTJ TYPE 1W9 and 1W2 are absolutes, they exist. TYPE 5W4 and 5W6 exist, and if W9 exists, then i can deductively conclude that 8W7 exists as well and even though type 1 and type 8 only share a wing9, it makes sense to draw such conclusion.

@@SadiaZaman-nu3sg "Elon Musk's contributions to humanity span across multiple industries, focusing on technology, transportation, energy, and space exploration. Here are some of his most significant contributions: 1. **Electric Vehicles and Sustainable Energy** - Through Tesla, Elon Musk has played a pivotal role in advancing electric vehicles (EVs) from a niche market to a mainstream alternative to traditional combustion engine vehicles. Tesla's success has not only pushed other automakers to invest in electric technology but also challenged the conventional automotive industry to innovate faster. Moreover, Tesla's investments in solar energy with SolarCity (now Tesla Energy) and battery technology with the Powerwall and Powerpack contribute to sustainable energy solutions. 2. **Space Exploration and Commercialization** - SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp.) has revolutionized space travel. By developing the Falcon series of rockets and the Dragon spacecraft, SpaceX has significantly reduced the cost of space travel, making it more accessible for both commercial and governmental entities. The reusability of SpaceX rockets is a game-changer for the economics of space travel. Musk's vision for Mars colonization could potentially make humans a multi-planetary species, a goal that could redefine human existence. 3. **Hyperloop Concept** - While not yet fully realized, Musk's proposal for the Hyperloop, a high-speed transportation system, could transform inter-city travel, reducing travel times dramatically and potentially reshaping urban planning and logistics. 4. **Advancement in Artificial Intelligence** - Musk co-founded Neuralink, aimed at integrating human brains with computers to enhance cognitive capabilities, which could lead to breakthroughs in treating neurological disorders and enhancing human intelligence. Additionally, his involvement with OpenAI (though he has since stepped back) contributed to the development of AI focused on benefiting humanity, though the company has evolved significantly since its inception. 5. **Advocacy for Technological Progress** - Musk's public discussions, investments, and ventures into fields like AI, robotics (with Tesla's autopilot and the potential for general AI), and even his interest in cryptocurrencies via Dogecoin, have influenced public and investor interest in these technologies. His approach often pushes the boundaries of what's considered possible, encouraging broader technological innovation. 6. **Infrastructure Development** - Through the Boring Company, Musk aims to solve urban congestion by proposing and starting to implement underground tunnels for transportation. If successful, this could revolutionize city infrastructure, reducing traffic and improving urban living conditions. 7. **Public Engagement in Science and Technology** - Musk's visibility and outspoken nature have engaged the public in conversations about the future of technology, space exploration, and sustainability. His presence in the media, often through X posts, brings complex concepts like Mars colonization, sustainable energy, or the ethics of AI into everyday discourse, potentially inspiring future generations to pursue careers in STEM. 8. **Starlink** - Although primarily a business venture, Starlink's goal to provide global broadband internet via satellite could bridge digital divides, offering internet access to remote and underserved regions, thereby contributing to global connectivity and information access. These contributions reflect Musk's vision of advancing humanity through technology, with a focus on sustainability, exploration, and the expansion of human potential. His work not only pushes technological boundaries but also challenges humanity to think about its future in broader, more ambitious terms." You think this guy is fragile and he's a loser?
