Aside from the possible parent backlash, alot of times when children are confronted by unfamiliar people, they tend to jump to fight or flight. And it wont matter what you say, they will remove themselfs from the situation with out resolutions. Therefore passerbyers opinions won’t be relevant to most children. Things Money Can’t Buy Time. Happiness. Inner Peace. Integrity. Love. Character. Manners. Health. Respect. Morals. Trust. Patience. Class. Common sense. Dignity. Always do what is right. It will gratify half of mankind and astound the other. Mark Twain Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people. Character is that which reveals moral purpose, exposing the class of things a man chooses and avoids. Children are 25 percent of the population but 100 percent of the future. If we wish to renew society, we must raise up a generation of children who have strong moral character. And if we wish to do that, we have two responsibilities: first, to model good character in our own lives, and second, to intentionally foster character development in our young.

This hit close to home. My auntie is Chinese and was adopted. When my mother was a child, my grandparents would tell my mom to include her new sister when she went to play with friends. Auntie came to America from Hong Kong when she was 7 and my mother was 8. There was one time that my mom got annoyed at constantly having to include my auntie in everything she was doing, especially because at the time, my auntie could only speak Cantonese. My mother turned around and told my grandmother, "I don't know why I have to include her. YOU'RE the one that wanted her." That was a beating my mother never forgot. This was in the 1960's. I'm now in my 30's, and my mom and auntie are in their 60's. Sadly, my grandparents are no longer with us. Auntie has always been - and will always be - a cherished member of our family. I learned to use chopsticks and a fork equally as a baby. Grandma learned to cook Chinese food. Our family has always celebrated Chinese New Year together. Our grandparents did everything to not only include our auntie in the family, but also to celebrate her Chinese heritage as best as a white family could. Our grandmother always wanted auntie to be proud to be Chinese. Adoption is difficult, and international adoption presents even more challenges. This whole sketch was very accurate. Biological children can often feel replaced or as if they were not enough for their parents. There is definitely an adjustment period. But in this sketch, Ping Ping was family since her birth. That adjustment period should have already ended. If I had been in this situation, I'd would have stepped in as someone whose family has been in this exact situation.

@Jennie_B_Gaming2 жыл бұрын
@@umhi5743 Honestly, I don't know, but I do know it takes more than money. My grandmother was born before there was a vaccine for the polio virus, and so she was paralyzed from the waist down. She wore big metal braces down her legs that snapped into special shoes. She could lock them and walk by swinging her hips with the use of a crutch. After the birth of my mother, she was bed ridden and the docs told her not to try for any more children or she may end up in a wheelchair. My grandmother tried one more time because she desperately wanted a big family, but it ended in miscarriage. Still grieving from the loss of her second child and bed ridden for the second time, a post card came in the mail. It was from an international adoption agency. The post card had pictures of children all over the world in need of a home. For my grandparents, that was the sign. All the kids smiled in their pics... except for my auntie who looked angry and frowning in hers. Not only would she be more difficult to adopt with that attitude, but my grandmother immediately loved my auntie's "chip on her shoulder". At the time (1960's), apparently there was a severe problem with people in Western countries adopting foreign children to be in-house slaves or maybe worse... human trafficking. Because of this, the adoption process took over a year to complete. The FBI was involved, and our family was assigned a case manager. The house was inspected, neighbors were contacted and asked what they knew about my family. They even asked my grandmother "If your daughter runs away from you, you can't run." They were actually trying to hold her disability against her. My grandmother said, "Well, I can manage one daughter... you think I can't manage another?" They asked about the chores expected of my mom, and what chores my auntie would do. It was intense. The case manager frequently visited our family even after the adoption for several years. One of the cutest stories about my auntie was a year or two after the adoption. The case manager came to check on the family. My auntie, sporting that same angry frown, hid behind my grandmother's braces. She leaned to one side and stared angrily at the case worker and with the few English words she knew, she said, "No go, lady. No GO!" My auntie was afraid that the case worker had come to take her away. That was the last time the case worker came to visit. She knew my auntie was happy where she was. I don't know how international adoption works now, but I suspect if slavery and human trafficking were a concern in the 1960's, it's probably STILL a concern now. I would expect a very long process and many hoops to jump to get through the legalities, especially when dealing with foreign governments as well.

3:53 This woman has the best point of view. Like everyone was so focused on protecting the adopted kid, but I mean yeah, who wouldn't, right? But the fact that she actually tried to put herself in the shoes of the biological kid is just beautiful. If I were the biological child, I would also feel like I was not good enough for my parents, I would feel weird to have a new sister all of a sudden. Not to mention they're both kids like it was so common for kids at this age to be mean and jealous even in petty things. I love this social experiment because it shows the nature of humans to help the ones crying first and foremost but not the "mean" person. One of the most common reasons why heroes are favored while villains are always misunderstood.

You know I’ve been reading the comments under this video for a while and I’m baffled how everybody here agrees that she needs to be slapped in the face and she’s a psychopath and what not. Seriously? I’m totally with you. If this was real I’m pretty sure no one ever asked for her opinion on adopting a child. Kids like that feel like their opinion doesn’t matter to their parents and like they are being forced to share their life (and parents attention, time, money, stuff, may be even their room) with a complete stranger. I get her too, it’s not that simple. Usually bullies are bullies because they are miserable themselves, why is nobody talking about this.

From the sisters’ ages and if the girl really was from China, judging from her level of English, it was pretty clear that she wasn’t JUST adopted but probably had been with the family for years as far as this hypothetical is concerned. And say the situation was different and her parents chose to have another baby (not adopt one). The older sister didn’t have much of a choice either. Would it be ok for her to speak to her little biological sister like that? If not, so why is it more understanding for her to speak to an adopted one like that? And even if the older sister was surprised with the adoption and the adoption was recent, there’s still no excuse for the things she was saying. Having sympathy and dealing with the root issue of why she may be acting out is one thing but we can’t excuse that type of behavior.

its not either silly...its fake...its only bullying or racism if its genuine. people get called the N word and stuff on films all the time but it doesn't count because its a MOVIE (or in this case documentary or whatever) there is a difference between using vulgarity or racism in a situation unnecessarily or doing it to make a situation seem more real...if your making a gangster film u expect them to swear...so having swear words is acceptable. if you have a teen movie you might expect the odd swear word or bullying situation. if you are making a documentary about bullying then racism can be included...because racism is a form of bullying...its a natural transition in conversation.

That woman 2:58 is so not a hero, she barely did anything and even laught over it because it remainded her of "What would you do". Even tho she did say something to the mean girl the mean girl just said "not your business" and the woman just "ok" and looked away, WTF be a role model to your kids and stand up to bullies. Glad Ping Ping pointed her out on that.

TheLi95 No, because if the women thought at first it was WWYD than she may laugh because she thinks it’s funny how good the kids are at acting, and then once she realizes (or thinks) it’s not WWYD help the girl. At least she did a lot more than most of the people who did nothing.

nmxznmxz no. People should still get involved if they see this because the mother may put them straight.

The difference between being adopted and having a kid is when you're adopted you're actually wanted but if you accidentally have a kid they just put up with you until you're 18
