I have a quick question, how are you so confident when wiring the cups off the wheel? I use vats mostly so I can just take it off without wiring but now I must resort to wiring off my pots, do you have any advice?

Great question. It's practice I guess! It helps if the pot is fairly dry when you're removing it (you can do this by ribbing off the slip). I always tell my students to turn the wheel slow, but wire it fast! Then, push it away from you to the edge of the wheel, and get your hand underneath it. Don't worry about smushing the bottom a little as you move it, because you will trim that part anyway. Good luck!

Just curious, did you leave your fingerprints in the glaze on purpose?
