Wheel is a Finnish prog-metal band based in Helsinki, consisting of James Lascelles (Vocals/Guitar), Santeri Saksala (Drums), Aki ‘Conan’ Virta (Bass) and Jussi Turunen (Lead Guitar). They released their debut album ‘Moving Backwards’ in February 2019, and just released their second album ‘Resident Human’ on March 26th 2021.

Wheel is the truth. Bands like Wheel, Leprous, Porcupine Tree, The Ocean Collective, and Karnivool are tragically underrated..

The song Farewell is also a banger, maybe more so, and has more of a Tool feel. Love this guy's vocals.

I've seen them twice and their live shows are epic. First time was as support for Soen, and I met James at the merch stand, he was a really nice guy too. He's from England, and moved to Finland to find more prog minded musicians to set the band up with. Second time I seen them, they were supporting Leprous. Again, they blew me away and left an army of new fans in their wake. I have tickets to see their first headline tour in November when they'll be touring their new album which is released in May, and from the 3 tracks I've heard already, it's gonna be a doozy! Rock and fucking Roll dude.

Great discovery thanks to your reaction dude!!! 😎🤘👍 There is a Finnish band that is like a hidden gem, they deserve more love from the metal community they are called "Mors Subita" they have 2 mega songs if you may react to them, one that is more chill and it's their most famous song is called "Into Eternity" and another one more aggressive called "When humanity weeps" both are top notch you may dug them 😎🤘🤘

They also have two EPs, The Divide and The Path. Amazing band, very Tool-like but not in a mimicking kind of way, they do their own thing for sure!
