I'm 71 and obsessed with this song. It's so full of 60s uncertainty and then hope for the future. If I've learned anything in life, it's that life is fluid, and if we give it a moment, it will change. Nothing is forever, but if our wheels are turning, it's an opportunity to make things better. Bless you, Jesse. Please take care that your wheels don't turn too fast. Enjoy this moment. ❤

I call Jesse an inspiration not because he makes good music and I want to articulate that; but because as a fellow musician he takes every single excuse I have ever had about music creation and obliterates them in their entirety. I genuinley don't know what else you would call a person who does that with every song other than an Inspiration.

This guy is the best folk singer of the last 30 years. All of his songs are absolutely brilliant and I can't stop listening. I don't even normally listen to this type of music but damn. I've been rocking Jesse Welles for days now. Patchwork was playing all day while I was working yesterday. I hope he blows up and becomes a household name cause he's amazing! Does he ever tour? I want to see him play so bad. I'd love to see him playing in the woods somewhere. He should travel around and put on random performances in the woods along powerline clearings 😂 It would be iconic.

Jesse hits multiple topics but they intertwine - so it hits the crap out of us. His ‘Hold On’ is stunning…and if we are relating to Jesse - where thousands of us are & no matter our age and blah x3 - there is honestly, and I truly believe, not one of us that at one time - or hundreds of other times in our life- wished we could go to sleep but not wake up …what is the point? It doesn’t mean we’re going to do something stupid right then or better and less stupid the next time…It’s more of knowing sadness and frustration can and will come. We’ve tried to do our best - yet realize that it wasn’t enough at times. But Yep. To our surprise another moment in time turns out to be just enough. So there ya go. All good-ish. Thx Jesse All i… please have a decent and safe weekend. Three days till official quiet hell breaks out in America. Lord help us. Gail in Central Florida Friday January 17, 2025.

@@primegm1 Remember the Pink Floyd line "All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be"? It's the 2025 version of that. Sometimes he sounds a little like Bob Dylan when he talks only he can actually sing, music is expression and I really appreciate the genuine insight he projects through his music. He’s just great I’ve been listening too him nonstop now, so far my 3 favourites are “that can’t be right,” “Fat,” and “Bugs” 🤣 my son likes the bugs song a lot too.

In my opinion what we are seeing is the beginning of the next great American rebel. If you watch the music video for gimme the sweet and low down by social distortion Mike Elliot Ness layer out the mt Rushmore of the greatest rebels of all time you had Woody Guthrie, James Dean, Bob Dylan, and Sid Vicious notice only one name was punk two folk and an icon. Jesse Welles has lyrical complexity and simplicity that both Dylan and Guthrie had. In some of his other songs he has a folk beat that reminds me of the orphans he’s got that punk sound in his singing and he appears young enough to be able to become an icon. Someone better find him and give him his Chance to prove me right because I love to to watch that all unfold. Jesse Welles should be award a spot on that wall no a tattoo on the skin of the great American rebel
