I spent summers in the Ouachitas. Then I lived in the ozarks for 8 years. It's such a beautiful state. It's a pity the land cursed by blood my Indigenous ancestors. My farm is named after a tree. Sweet Gum trees to be exact. Sweet Gum Mini Farm is our farm. I named it that many years ago because of the massive Sweet Gum trees around and all the bristle balls from them. We also have truly massive Poplar trees here. Take 2-3 people wrapping arms around them to fully encircle the trunks. I love trees and want to cry every time I see them clearing large forests for housing developments. It's happening at a record pace in our area of upstate South Carolina. So horrible.
