Ive been listening to jesse since I discovered him on instagram shorts. Im not big on country and folk music but this guy is brilliant. Reminds me of Bob Dylan. Started reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine. The writing still stands up today just as it did in 1776. "Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason. "

I don't know if you read these comments Jesse, but I just wanted to say that you changed my life. I've been in a rut for 5 years now, slowly wasting away in a state of despair and depression. It was your music that got me back into playing guitar. Playing music again revived something in me I thought had died (my spirit I guess). I've started taking my medication again, I've been playing music all the time, I'm finding happiness again. Thank you for your music, you probably saved a life.

Hey guys, If these comments prove anything, it's that we're not totally alone in this. I've been depressed for as long as I can remember, but in the last 5 years, have undergone many life-altering "changes." You could definitely call what I've been in a rut, one with a deep bottom. Been trying to claw my way out of it these past 5 years, on & off a number of meds & other substances prescribed by a doc & otherwise. I went off the prescriptions a couple years ago, couldn't tell you if that's a good or bad thing. But just be careful with those- depending on what it is, there has been new info on some of that stuff that has come to light in the last few years. But if it helps, it helps. I've been struggling to find passion of any kind, but some of Jesse's songs here have uncovered a tiny ember of hope somewhere inside me. Music seems to be the only thing that has that power. Haven't figured out how to harness it yet. I've been wanting to get back into music myself, just struggling to fight away the inertia. I don't really know what my point here is other than just to say, please hang on. We're not always going to be strong, we just have to keep keepin' on. I wish you both, and anyone who reads this who needs it, the absolute best in your lives. 🙏✌️
