@georgina thanks for inspiring others with POTS that an adaptive life is all it takes to still feel half way normal with such a debilitating illness. I understand because I have POTS as well. But I’m older, I’ll be 54 in June and I’ve known of my POTS since 2010. God bless you, and keep you happy, well, & safe! 🌺

Your room is far more high tech than the accessible rooms at my university. Also, my school has better than average dorms than other schools in the US (we get private bathrooms and central AC which is necessary in the south), but yours is waaay nicer
@GeorginasJourney5 жыл бұрын
Oliver Carnazzo that sounds pretty good still! But yeah, the accessible rooms are very good here! Mine is for the least level of disability as well (if that makes sense?) they’ve got rooms which are even more adapted here 😮

How are you sweetie? That is the most amazing accessible dorm room I’ve ever seen! I graduated from college almost 20 yrs ago, but even now, I’ve not seen anything comparable! You look good and I love that you are not going to let chronic illness rob you of your future!🥰

Your room is so tidy! When I got really ill I wasn't in halls I was in private rented accomodation, with a shared bathroom. I had a shower stool but I rarely used it because I'd have to carry it to the bathroom and back each time, but luckily my grandma lived near, and she'd drive over, and I'd have a bath at her house :')

Oh I went to the University of Kent too! I hope you're enjoying it. I was in Darwin Houses but it was in 2006, probably changed a lot lol. I loved it, it was my favorite year of Uni (unfortunately it was my Erasmus year abroad so I only stayed for the 1 year). I hope your exams went well! Your room looks very functional, I hope you find it practical Oh my god your dog is so cute!!! I wish I had a dog just like that, I live in an apartment and work full time so he would be sad I think. Waiting until I can get a house ;) Thank you for sharing, you're always so nice and sweet and calm in your videos, it makes me happy. I have some health issues that are still undiagnosed and my doctor told me on Monday "I don't know but I trust you, you'll learn to live with the pain as usual" hahaha, I was so angry!! I don't know what to do next, we'll see... Are you reading anything good at the moment? I liked A Heart In A Body In The World recently.
@GeorginasJourney5 жыл бұрын
denaiir that’s so cool that you studied here for a while too! There’s still accommodation in Darwin :) Nit sure if it’s houses or flats now though! Aw that sounds like a nice plan! I miss my dog so much atm but will get to see her soon when I go home for Easter :) That was an awful thing to say, I hope you can get a diagnosis & the help you need soon! 💕 Not reading anything at the moment as I have a lot of other reading to do for my exams, but I’m excited to get back into it after! I’ll look it up, thanks fir the recommendation :)

Hello! I hope you don't mind me saying this, but do you feel it could help to see another doctor? Perhaps you already see various ones, but if not it may help to work out which doctor at your surgery is most informed in the area you require advice and ask for an appointment with them specifically. Hope this helps :)
@GeorginasJourney5 жыл бұрын
Naomi H sorry, I filmed this a while ago now, what would the advice & appointment be for?
@GeorginasJourney5 жыл бұрын
Naomi H & I really have tried with doctors to find the best one, I’ve been at 3 doctors surgeries & tried about 12 doctors (just including primary/GP doctors) since I started getting sick a few years ago

Hello!! I loved the video!! Can I ask you, why do you use 2 wheelchairs?? Because I've had an excel wheelchair for a while, but when it became clear I was going to need to use it more, I got a küshall champion (which is the best btw) and since I've had that one, I didn't even think about using my excel wheelchair... i think my question is: for what occasion do you use what wheelchair??
@GeorginasJourney5 жыл бұрын
Melissa ♥ Hi Melissa! That’s a great question! I use my Kuschall wheelchair when I’m going out by myself or not going in a car. And I use the other wheelchair if I’m going in a car (as it folds and so fits in the boot/trunk of car better, as my friends have small cars) or if I feel really unwell & am being pushed as it has a higher back so I can lean on it more and it’s wider so I can cross my legs in it easier if I’m in a really bad POTS flare and so need to do that. Hope that answers your question 😊
@Melissa-ye5dq5 жыл бұрын
@@GeorginasJourney ahh that makes sense! I really get what you mean about putting your legs up, because I have pots myself, and I really get what you mean about putting your wheelchair in your car! Luckily, my costum-made chair is foldable, so u don't have that problem!! Thanks for answering!!

Melissa ♥ I was actually really close to getting a Kuschall champion for that reason! Sounds like an all round great chair :)
