Thanks for your video! I'm in a somewhat similar situation in that I have to walk with a rollator, so of course I have to keep both hands on the handles. Ultimately I want to attach my phone to a gimbal to a rod to a superclamp on my rollator, and your suggestions will definitely point me in the right direction! 😀

That's a great solution Em thank you for making this. I've already shared your video with someone who asked me (had no idea how to solve this) and it will undoubtedly help!

Thank you so much for this. I had a lady booked onto a session yesterday where we needed to use a tripod, and the traditional tripods just didn't work for her. I've already got a mono pod that I barely use, so I'll have to see if I can rig it in a similar way you have the next time I get a wheelchair user.

Awesome! I hope you can make up something that works. I wrote in the description what equipment I bought for this. 😊

Okay, you’ve inspired me again. Your spirit is infectious😊!! I needed to see this today. I was beginning to lose my way. I was a photographer & tv news photojournalist for years. In 3 weeks i was in a wheelchair with CIDP. BUT, I’m slowly coming back. Definitely gonna start building this today. ❤

that is absolutely brilliant!!!!! Never would have thought of this. Awesome job on it. Question: will the super clamp fit a tilite aero z chair, as that is what I have?

Great idea. I was inspired to mount a gimbal on my wheelchair. I needed a small push in the right direction for my brains to kick in. So, thanks heaps! I might only have one overworked leg but now I come with built in Steadicam!

It definitely makes filming fun because you can get those great tracking shots! Good luck with your gimbal set up and hope that it makes it easier for you so you can go take lots of photos or videos! 😁

@@EmQuattrocchi Just to give you a heads up, there is a better quality clamp that has screw holes for camera gear. It's costs more but it's unlikely strip out and can hold more weight. Take a look at the Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp. I plan on using it for my setup when I order all the materials for my setup later this week. I've seen it talked about a few more times on KZbin when further looking into those kinds of clamps.

I have Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and use a power wheelchair. I normally carry my camera in my hand but have found that after a little while my hand and arm begins to shake. Even with image stabilization sometimes my photos have a slight blur. Additionally, I want to buy a Sigma 150-600mm to do some wildlife photography (I live in Colorado) and holding the lens will simply hot happen. I have done something similar to yours. I have a metal seat pan underneath my chair just below where I sit and I have attached the same clamp you use to it between my legs. Then I have attached a double ball adapter to that and then screwed on another clamp to the end of the adapter. I then took my Amazon Basics Monopod (very inexpensive) and mounted it on the second clamp. I let the bottom of the monopod sit on the footplate of my chair so it is bearing the weight. This allows me to raise and lower the height of my camera as needed. I had purchased a Geekoto tripod awhile back. It has a head with a handle that unscrews and will easily screw onto the monopod. The head will support up to 40 lbs and with the monopod sitting on the footplate it will easily support the weight of my camera and the lens I want.

Yeah I am sure you can easily make one up but maybe instead of using the super clamp use a attachment that can wraps around an arm rest (if you have one) and might be easier 😊

Hi Em, the tripod head in your link doesn't look the same as the one you have. You have a tripod head with a handle. Is the link you put up correct? Thanks for this video. I can't wait to get these items so I can use a tripod with my photography!

I haven’t got a video of it but instead of using the tripod part you can attach a gimbal, they are more expensive but amazing at keeping footage nice and smooth! Does that make sense? I can send through a link to a gimbal if you like?

Em, have you ever used a gimbal and if so do you have one to recommend
