Aaron Martens used a Speed Trap in a Classic at Grand Lake a while back. Was smoking them up towards the dam on rock. Great bait!

Question.....you said you use the bigger one, but the 018 is the smaller one 2 1/4" while the 014 is 2 3/4" Guessing that you were throwing the 014. Can you confirm? I usually throw the smaller one but use spinning gear, like when I use a smaller Shad Rap.

I haven't heard of that crank before, I've only been living down in SC for year n half though, if it's a local thing... What did you think about fishing Clarks Hill lake? That's my home lake, about 20 minutes from my house. I go there alot, targeting largmouth or striper
