I got my competition license (WERA) at Roebling in 1985. Love that track.

I’ve driven this track many times you did a great job in explaining this track there is nothing not to like about it you can really learn to drive on it, And test your car. It’s a safe track only turn 9 can bite you. Some big names also come out to test their cars on this track.

@@cam_fras4605 I went with the Porsche club when I had a 911 they are based out of Hilton head island. Just go by the track and ask for a club sometimes they combine with other clubs. It’s called drivers Ed track day.

This by far my favorite track and I've always wanted to try it on four wheels. I used to race a gsxr750 and 1000 here. I think you are right on turn 4 seemed off camber to me also 👍

RRR was very entertaining on 4 wheels, but it's probably even better on 2 mainly due to the shapes of the turns. At least in my case I didn't have the front-end (or potentially just lacked the commitment) to get the car out of a mild understeer state through the longer right handers. Required some patience with the throttle to get to the point that I did. That said, a car with more front tire or more torque out back would probably be super entertaining.

Excellent video, as always! For a beginning track driver, would you recommend Roebling Road over the other courses that are within reasonable driving distance of East TN (AMP, Barber, CMP, Road Atlanta, VIR, etc.)?

I think it would make the short list as you have to be going pretty fast for Roebling to have "consequences". I think the best 'starter tracks' in the region are probably Talladega GP, Roebling and, getting into Florida, the FIRM. In no particular order. They're generally less expensive to drive, shorter lap times mean more repetitions, and none have much to hit if you go agricultural. (Caveat that I haven't driven several of the FL tracks further south.

Would they allow drifting? Ive been wanting to practice but of course I don't wanna do it on public roads so I've been looking around for a legal track for me to practice on

I don't wanna be a dummy and be completely wrong cuz maybe this a strictly just racing track. This is my first time researching tracks in my area and tryna figure out what's what

Google suggests there have been drift events at Roebling in the past, but I don't know.what the current situation is. Your best resources may be the track's event calendar, event aggregators like motorsportreg, or local drifting FB groups. I know it will depend on the track rules and specific event host as to whether deliberate skids will get you kudos or kicked out. Either way best of luck!
