Taskmasters are retroactive, you can take them with you when checking your wheels. They will finish the thralls when you put them on and you won't lose them to wheel raiders.

?? more detail if you can on how that works. Example if i put one on with the TM on it then remove the TM does it maintain the time of the TM or do If it take 6 hours w/o a TM and 3 with after 3 hours i drop the TM on it and bamm done?

Adding the taskmaster to a wheel will automatically boost the time like the taskmaster was there the entire time. You can remove them replace them and same result. So if you only have one taskmaster but multiple wheels you can play musical wheel of pain with your taskmaster to benefit as if he was on all the wheels at the same time.

@@wak4863 To clearify adding it at the start puts the speed up on the entire craft but if i added it later it will just speed up the rest of the process. Not it is 80 percent done you add the t3 thrall and restart...done.

I love that it teaches us nothing. Once I play with it a few times, guides are great for understanding the finer points or specifics I've overlooked/missed. Like the thrall crafting time slider, great tip! But I personally love having to learn by trial and error in this game

Very informative, thank you very much, I always had a problems with those foundation sizes, this will help very much. Could you please do a simmilar video on pets and taming pens as well please? Those oversized pens can be a real pain in place-where-sun-does-not-shine, if somebody wants their base to look at least somewhat aesthetically pleasing

I forgot to mention the practice swords and the broken oar can also be used to knock out npcs with a blunted fitting.

What makes a blunted Practice Sword great is that yer guards can still kill animals, while having a 50/50 chance to KO thralls. I find myself having to whack desired thralls a few times with a truncheon to make sure they don't get killed. This is a great weapon for base defense during a purge!

neat, have 700 hours into the game, came for a reminder of the size of all the wheels (really only used the smaller version due to microbases) and learned the task master grants a new binding recipe xD

14:37 showed a nasty bug where the campfire will burn yer gruel ingredients instead of another fuel source. Learn by example folks, it's frustrating to pick the ingredients by hand only to have them burn up in a fire!

It is so funny, how you placed down signs, to tell how much foundations you need and how you go over the first two wheels and got totaly lost in explaining other stuff, like food and how taskmasters will affect the wheels, but you never show of the greater wheel of pain and how much foundations are needed xD still, great guide, thank you

thanks man ive started to play the game with some friends but as i have more free time on weekend than them ive decided to play the game solo (with some mods). this and some other vids ive seen helped out so thanks again. i didnt buy any of the dlc too so i am going to take a look at them once they are on sale or something

Please cover how and why to feed thralls, and what to feed them and when. I see people still using thrall pots. My understanding is that you only need to feed them to heal them, and a thrall pot is useless for that purpose. When they need to heal they eat from their inventory.

Thrall pots are useful for drastically reducing food spoilage while giving yer thralls nigh unlimited healing when yer not around to spoon feed them. Each follower gains various regeneration and stat-growth buffs from each food listed in their inventory, as well as a 10% bonus damage buff for one hour after eating the specified foods. Each follower also has one specific food type from their list that grants them a 25% bonus damage buff for one hour. Things to test include which food is the most effective at healing and which foods grant the 25% bonus damage to each type of follower. JUST HORSE already has a video showing which stat-growth is boosted by each food.

How does the different foods affect "breaking" your thrall? Does one food work faster/better than another or is it just a matter of what you have on hand, or the most of? I always used gruel, but if there is a better food, well then it's time to change!

It's all about the spoil rate really, and how long it will run your wheel of pain. The food does not effect the crafting speed.

Playing last night I found out you can knock out the relic hunters treasure seekers that are at the beginning of the wine cellar dungeon and drag them out. You don't have to go into the no name city to get one, all you have to do is get past the drunk guy.

Be carefull not to drop them though When you hit loading screens while draging a thrall, sometimes the body doesn't load into the new zone and if you drop him you'll have no way of tethering him again It also happens when warping with the map room

does anything else besides the taskmaster increase crafting speed, for example does the 8-man wheel of pain craft faster than the one man wheel of pain? (obviously the 8-man would be faster because you can craft 8 at once but Im referring to the individual speed

I once had the crafting to instant, but when they made an update it affected my thralls and pets and they stopped teleporting when following. So I started a new game and then went back to regular settings and they started teleporting again. Now after some time I am back to instant thralls and so far no problems, I hope a new update does not affect them again.

hey, I resently did the endgame collect shineys and be free of the braselet thing, watched the walk away srceen and went on to create a new toon, the new toon came upon old toons outpost and an archer guarding said outpost shot the new toon. could the new toon capture the old escaped toons leveled thralls with a truncheon? (server got reset before i got to try) and do old toons buildings decay even tho new toon is mine too?

Think of it as they are eating it. So essentially yes it burns faster.

I can't open the wheel inventory by pressing "interact / use" or holding it, if there is a thrall in the wheel already. If i try it, it will ask me if i want to remove the thrall which will destroy it. Bug or feature? How to open the inventory of a in use wheel to put more gruel in?

You dont need that, just put the food in the wheel of pain. That bowl thingy are used to feed thralls nearby after the wheel.

Only crafter thralls can be moved back to you inventory from the benches. Fighters, archers, sherpas, and dancers cannot be returned to your inventory once placed without a mod.

@@wak4863 Also I have noticed that no matter what food I give a thrall, they regen health at 5/sec. I had thought the list of food under a thrall/pet meant worst to best. Meaning 1/sec for the upper left and going to 10/sec to the lower right. Gruel should be 6/sec and exotic feast(meal?) should be 10/sec. But gruel tics at 5/sec and so does the exotic feast(meal?). I don't think there is a server setting to change that, so am I wrong and I should just figure I can feed the thrall/pet anything in their list and only expect a 5/sec regeneration?

Gruel is nice because it decays slowly and the materials can be gathered in nearly any part of the map. It takes 8 hours to break in a named thrall, even with a Taskmaster4, so it will cost you a lot of food if you use something with a short decay timer. For overnight usage, I prefer 2 stacks of cooked Exotic fish.
