While I'm watching this I just learned that Matt's dad Dale has passed away. I'm devastated to hear this news. I had no idea he had cancer. He was an inspiration to us all. took me 32 hours to go 1300 miles, but that was on public roads, and damn, just occurred to me, I was half my age now when I did that...I'm in my 60's. Still have that bike...can't imagine 1800 miles in 24...ouch...

Two summers ago I did over 3,100 miles in 4 days time, from Southwestern Pennsylvania to Amarillo Texas in 2 days to visit an old Army buddy there, after 5 days at his place I returned in 2 days, the odometer showed over 3,100 miles, and that's pretty accurate because I've got a Thundermax control module on it that's calibrated dead on at 70 MPH via GPS and I was averaging 75 to 80 MPH there and back. My friends used to call me Iron Ass when they'd ride with me on a road trip because I was relentless and wouldn't take breaks at fuel stops, I'd tank up and get right back on the highway.
