She sounds so good!!!. I like your lathe too. I work with a pair of long bed atlas lathes both restored by me one late 1930's one 1940's made a lot of good parts on them. made upgraded dials for easier and more precise reading. Rescued both from the scrap pile. Good old tools beat shiny new tools any day in my book :) If i win the bike i am definatley riding it home :D

What do you think caused the drum to warp OR get out of round? P.S. I know you like to find old Harleys. A few decades ago, Easyrider featured the bike from northern Indiana. Which was owned by a person who ran a Harley Dealership and he lived upstairs. The one thing which stood this bike off was the fact it was all Gold Plated. He had it on a lift system. At night it would be "lifted" up into his living quarters. Maybe y'all can find it!?

That's a quick repair on a beauty. I used to do drum machining in the shop and was advised to put rubber around the outer circumference of it to prevent chatter. Anyone else do that?
@victorbitter583 Жыл бұрын
Sure did. Getting the hotspots out of massive bus drums was nearly impossible unless you had the grinding attachment for the brake lathe.

SNOOP DOGG POT FARMER DANCE SONG $$ I got out my pipe stuffed it with pot You better believe it held a whole lot. I whipped out a lighter thumbed up a flame Sucked down that smoke which comforts my brain. I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes They did nothing but give me regrets. My mom had arthritis could not walk around I rolled her a joint she danced on the ground. I thought I was losing my lovemaking knack After I smoked some to me it came back. Soon I decided prices were high I searched for some ground I wouldn't have to buy. I bargained for seeds from smokers all around Got in my truck and drove out of town. I walked through the woods where wild birds nest Found me the meadow I thought was the best. I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds. I watered at night with a five-gallon pail Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil. Seven months went by; I thought I would die Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky. At night I went out, in a camouflage suit Used my corn knife to chop down the loot. I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found. Came back and got it, when it had turned brown. I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags Called all my friends and passed out free drags. In less than a week my crop was gone I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!! Turn your compound the other way. That way it will never impinge on the chuck or the part... It also keeps your fingers from the 'spinny' parts... ANd don't let anyone sell that South Bend short. It'll be capable for another hundred years if carefully maintained.

I'd wanna know why the drum side and the shoe side of the front brake assembly were rubbing. Somethings not right, I'd want to know what that is, shouldn't have to relieve the drum. Powder coating shouldn't/couldn't be enough to cause that could it? I'd have to know what pushed what where😁😁

HARLEY RIDERS PAST & NOW!! I've got a brand new Harley And a tank full of gas. A beautiful woman behind me And we're not driving fast. We're pulling a trailer With a tent packed inside. For camping beneath the stars Just me and my bride. Come morning we’ll go fishing Below the damn of Table Rock Where the big trout all hide From those anglers who talk. We’ll bait our hooks with salmon eggs And catch a pan or two. Strike a fire and cook a meal And fear not the morrow’s new We left our cars at home Cause we chose to go two wheeling. As we cling to our best on wheels It gives us a special feeling! By Tom Zart Most Published Poet On The Web
