@@Dread-HeadedTexan Our defense obviously wore out. Having basically no offensive will do that to a defense. Having our top 5 (TOP FIVE!!!) wide receivers out crippled us both passing and running. No experienced WRs and a true Freshman QB?! Texas knew we couldn't pass so they stacked the line against the run and dared us to pass. Really bad luck on the injury side for us this year. We've beaten Texas badly in the past when they had a slew of injuries. What goes around comes around. But regardless, Texas was clearly the better team today. Congrats to the Longhorns.

Texas was by far the superior team. OU had a bunch of injuries and Texas went out there destroyed a depleted team like a good team is supposed to. The defense was lights out, the running game picked up the slack, but man Quinn Ewers was shaky out there after not playing a month. He had Bond WIDE OPEN for a touchdown that second drive and the interception he sailed way over the receivers head. Even sailed simple short 3rd and 2 throws. Against Georgia next week, that s wont fly next week. He cannot have a slow start.

I’m not that clued up on American football, but we’ve got a saying in English football: “ya don’t change a winning side (team).” From what I’ve seen, Manning has been doing an unreal job at QB from the second Ewers got injured. In my opinion, Ewers would have to be showing me some absurd work in practice to get his spot back. From what I just watched, I’m not totally convinced he deserves his place in the starting 11 over Manning. Just one uneducated Englishman’s opinion though. This was an uncharacteristically bad game from Ewers… even still he didn’t play terribly. Benching him would be really bad for the team chemistry, he’s a guy that’s won a lot of games for us and usually shows out in bigger matchups. Arch has his time coming but he’s still young… he had a handful of rough plays the first full game he started against ULM. Missed the game due to unexpected situation of receiving a phone call from a dear friend of many years and we spoke for several hours so I missed the final 3 quarters (priorities placed in the right place definitely), but glad about the outcome. Will rewatch broadcast asap, but got to give Sark a ton of credit for building a DEEP squad with a resilient midset-a winning culture that finally matches our talent level. But, all I cared about was becoming bowl eligible with 6 wins. Yeah really, because in the down years that was something to build on. Well, we're 6-0 and that is gravy. But, I also know two things can be true at the same time. We caught a woefully undermanned OU squad this year. Which is fortunate and lucky, and they showed up to play, but OU was just horrid in their execution and the lack of talent showed. Secondly, the real SEC season begins next week. So, we get to see what a healthy undefeated Texas squad can do in DEEP water as the hunted. Proud of the guys, but still holding my breath with these slow starts, spotty execution, turnovers and lucky bounces. Are we back? No. Win a national championship and that will be an undeniable FACT! But, pleased we have a hyper-competive squad that will battle with any team in the nation. Championship caliber, we'll see. But, I'm happy with the outcome so far. Hook 'em!!!
