Good call on the Tri bar blips. If they make those I'll definitely buy this groupset.

One info I still can't find, does the brake calipers have an extra 10% clearance like the latest shimano?

Hi, honestly I don’t know

@PatrickDelorenzi still no one know, 😅😅

@@xaein9515 In my opinion, the clearance of this brake calipers are way bigger than shimano ones, but still gives a good feeling on braking. I am using two wheelsets, one for Gravel, another for road. I used to use GRX groupset, every time I swap the wheelset I need to adjust the calipers which is annoying, but after switching to Wheeltop, I don't need to adjust anymore (With those same two wheelsets).

Not quite the cheapest when you factor in the cost of adding your own crankset and cassette. I think Sram Apex XPLR is the same price or a little less expensive, plus the derailleur is not disposible once the battery dies as the batteries can be replaced. The wheeltop groupset should be priced even more aggressively considering the competition.

I reckon if they priced it at 500€ they would sell out instantly- it would be nuts! Isn’t xplr 1x only? The battery thing is a true factor to consider. I love my sram rival axs groupset specifically for the fact you can exchange the batteries. We’ll have to see if they come up with a way to make the battery replacement work Thank you for the comment!

I would consider the wheeltop groupset if it were not for the battery issue. Hope they can make them removeable in the next revision. Yes, sram apex electronic XPLR is a 1x 12 speed groupset. But it provides almost all of the gearing range of a 2x setup thanks to the standard 10-44t casette. You can get an even wider gearing range with a 3rd party 9-46t casette. I have both a di2 11 speed and a sram rival xplr bike, and right now, I prefer the Sram bike. Shifts and brakes just as good, the groupset looks nice, and not having to think about shifting a front derailleur is awesome. I am a 1x convert!
